    I have been working at F.N.B. (PA) full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    I work with a great team at my current location. I love our customers. We have a lot of business clients in our branches footprint which makes for a different work day experience.

    Cons

    There is currently no option for advancement in my current branch and FNB is not too keen on promoting outside of the promotion/review period which takes place once a year. Pay is on the lower end of the spectrum in banking.

    I worked at F.N.B. (PA) full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Local non-executive staff works in a collaborative manner. Everyone works together for the benefit of the customers. Open communication amongst local staff members is excellent.

    Cons

    Leadership expects too much from staff members. Everyone has multiple jobs, but are paid for only one.
    Recognition is sparse.
    I was recruited under false pretenses. I was told the department was at a level years ago that it has yet to achieve.
    There is very little depth in positions. A department may be 1-2 people. If anyone one of them is out, service becomes a challenge.

    Advice to Management

    Invest time into department and staff development. Heed the feedback from the field instead of dismissing personnel that elevate concerns. Evaluate your current department heads. You will find that some are barely working and only communicate to the field when it's time to claim unearned glory.

    Pros

    Hours, holidays off and off ever Sunday

    Cons

    All 20/30 year olds run the branches, and like to run around leaving you and one other part time Teller alone for hours. Hard to get full time

    Advice to Management

    Older people need to make money too

    Pros

    Develop your resourcefulness and meet some great people. You will learn to multitask, and you'll see how strong you can be. You will probably not be paid for it, but you can take on many responsibilities.

    Cons

    Company seems to be shifting to the pay-less/require-more mentality where you're pushed to your limits for a sub standard salary. State of barely controlled chaos with little communication, obsolete equipment and resources, and no continuity between branches.

    Advice to Management

    Take a hard look at the reality of your retail branches before you acquire yet another bank. There is a glaring difference between what things look like on paper, and the actuality of your situation. While you're throwing away your community banking approach to compete with the big dogs, you're unknowingly driving away good customers and employees. Be careful what you wish for.

    Great Benefits. Building upkeep is good.

    Became too big too fast. Pay not commensurate with duties and responsibilities

    Pros

    Good platform and reasonable cost structure, good employees who are well connected to the market and capable of driving business

    Cons

    Nepotism!!!! Show me a company where the son of the President isn't the top performer and held out an an example of how to do business. Horrible Upper management has nothing nice to say about very capable employees, disjointed managerial structure

    Advice to Management

    Stick to what you know and quiet when you don't! Never discuss other employees issues with their counterparts. Being blatant when it comes to awarding deals to your favorites

    Pros

    none that I ever saw while working for this large corporate bank

    Cons

    meager pay, long hours, too many unattainable goals, treat you like a child, ...."if you don't do your work, you stay after school. until you finish your work "....saw too many people shoved out the door whether on their own accord, or by management.

    Advice to Management

    stop buying banks and take care of the short staffed ones you already have. Check the population of the banks' current clientele before you buy it.
