I worked at F5 Networks full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Great engineering culture and focus on quality. Work in complex projects that allow for creativity and custom integrations. Environment encourages you to continously do self learning of new technologies and programming languages. Great team in EMEA, everyone wants you to succeed! Managers are top! Best company and professional experience so far.

    Cons

Rather than cons, I would call it uncertainties. With cloud architectures the Big-IP product loses some relevancy. Nevertheless competitor products are nowhere good and flexible as Big-IP

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing. Speed up the release of cloud products.

I have been working at F5 Networks full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

Work/life balance; improving gender equality; improving race relations; culture is good

    Cons

Underpaid against some competitors; a bit of teething as it becomes more corporate from a more matrix structure

I worked at F5 Networks full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

    - Good compensation - Flexible working conditions

    Cons

    - Way behind on cloud with no idea how to differentiate (it might be too late) - Clueless middle management, no idea who the actual workers are and constantly rearranging the deck chairs while the ship sinks. I was there for 5 years and had new management every 12 months. - Stop paying lip service on diversity, it will only hurt in the long term and focus on solving the world's problems instead.

    Advice to Management

Focus on the transition to the cloud and align sales/marketing materials around differentiation to the native cloud services. You make everything way too hard for the end customer.

I worked at F5 Networks full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Nice view of Elliot bay, good benefits package

    Cons

With a few exceptions, managers are mediocre to awful, company is not willing to invest in technologies to support workers (our content management system was 10 years old and crippling our work), noisy open workspace with no private places, bad people tended to thrive and nice people to leave, hardware-based technology was slipping out of date in the cloud era "leadership" didn't seem to know what to do to catch up. I have been working at F5 Networks full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

I hear many companies preach a corporate culture that is inclusive with all sorts of benefits to check off boxes, but F5 actually lives this. There are huge numbers of females in leadership roles across the whole company. There are countless opportunities from mentorship to continued education to help you be successful in your career. The benefits are unmatched with very flexible working from home options, maternity leave,...

    Pros

Great Salary, good benefit, technology leader, great work / life balance

    Cons

Middle management (below VP), horrendous. A very clique company, the Israel team is based of original M&A team acquired > 10 years ago. Most development teams work together to hide caveats from upper management. Criticism is never accepted, it's my way or the highway

    Advice to Management

Replace middle management, build a clear strategy where the company is going.
