    Pros

The agency is very flexible. Most workers telework multiple days a week. Convienent to the metro station. Food trucks are lined up.

    Cons

FAA is like most government agencies very slow atmosphere. The strategic planning is lax, drones policy is weak and mostly non existent.

I worked at FAA full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay opportunities are great from the start. If you want to work somewhere you are over paid and under worked get hired at an ARTCC for the FAA.

CEO appears to be trying to send the right messages out to leadership but it falls on deaf ears.

    Cons

The initial training is a waste of millions of tax payers dollars that last two months and teaches you nothing you need to know to do the job. Then you sit around for months waiting for next school. And then once you have been there for 18 months you can finally be certified to actually do your job.

Can't speak for all locations but the Farmington Minnesota ARTCC management is some of the worst people I have ever met in regards to caring for you as a human being. They discriminate but do so discreetly and as a team against you.

    Shift work.

    Unchallenging work in communications shop.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees as a human that has feelings and not an asset to be manipulated on your twisted whims.

    Pros

    It's a regular pay check.

    Cons

Poor leadership. Facility morale starts at the top and flows downhill.
Train-to-fail mentality. Management and training staff alike play favorites.
Agency screwed up pay and retirement big time, but the employee suffers the consequences with no apology. Union useless and too preoccupied with their own agenda.

    Advice to Management

How do you sleep at night? I mean really!

I worked at FAA full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Easy parking, decent health benefits, friendly fellow employees, those are the only pros that I have.

    Cons

Rude and critical management; minimal raises, no advancement, improper training, insufficient computer systems, no acknowledgement of accomplishments, upgrades, project completions, or tasks completed in a timely and highly well done manner.

    Advice to Management

    Treat employees like humans.
