    Pros

Great benefits and fantastic people to work with. Great career as some people have been working here for decades! New acquisitions are step in the right direction

    Cons

Provide more guidance to employees. Slow down a bit and train more employees. Create work life balance so employees feel at home.

    Advice to Management

Talk to employees by creating employee surveys or engagement events

I worked at FARO Technologies full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There used to be opportunity maybe one day it will come back, benefits are good.

    Cons

Management has little direction and is out of touch with customers and employees.

New company direction is to save costs, by cutting pay/opportunity and over working the other teams like Applications Engineers and Customer Service.

To boost revenue, management has been raising prices on everything with no real justification and our customers have noticed and started looking at other options.

No real path for advancement anywhere, company hires from outside.

    Advice to Management

Founder needs to step back from the company and hire a business CEO again. He would make a great head of R&D, but does not understand the value of his other employees.

I have been working at FARO Technologies full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great pay and benefits and you to to keep all of your traveling miles/hotel stays

    Cons

There is no work life balance at all and our boss is constantly over working us and expecting great results with NO FEEDBACK. She's the worse ever 4 communication and she's still around because she plays politics well with her boss who doesn't see she's the problem. She's a liar and constantly stabbing other Applications engineers behind their back. It's a reason so many of them left in the last couple of years and why people don't even trust her. Try calling her and leaving a voicemail and see when she responds. You better have a yes man mentally or prepare to be fired like the rest of them

    Advice to Management

Get rid of her immediately and fire the crazy CEO who thinks he knows the industry so well when he looks like he's on his death bed. It's kinda funny all of the ae's are leaving and heading to sales

    Pros

Great products, smart people, and a culture that is mercurial, but invigorating. Change is the watchword, and if you want a "stable" work environment, this might not be for you. If you like to give input, and chart your own course, this is a fun and exciting place to be.

    Cons

Some of the old-guard is cynical to change. Otherwise, not much to complain about.

    Advice to Management

Keep going. Growth and globalization has point points, but continue to grow and improve. Love the energy from re-direction and fine-tuning.
