I worked at FBI full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Talented and very competent people. No day is ever the same. Very challenging and dynamic work environment with strong comradery among colleagues promoting a positive and team-spirit atmosphere. Extremely rewarding.

    Cons

Job sometimes demands working 16 hour days and weekends for extended periods of time (4-6 months). Requires at times sacrifice from your personal/home life.

    Advice to Management

Continue to hire competent agents who have demonstrated strong work ethic and integrity.

I have been working at FBI full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Many successful resolutions to investigations. There are still a few really kind-hearted people who genuinely cheer for the success of others. Decent salary, benefits, sick and vacation allowances.

    Cons

It is not television FBI! Archaic computer equipment with a partially lackadaisical IT department. Underperforming and highly paid employees are tolerated and not appropriately disciplined for lack of true job knowledge, assignment incompletion, habitual tardiness and early departures. Employees, many with tenure of 15+ years in the organization and who truly care about contributing to the success of the agency, are treated as cast aways and considered lazy and unwilling to adapt to change. It is not always an all inclusive environment. One thing it has become is an all about the millenials environment. The constant creation, mismanagement of positions and overlapping of duties is confusing and often leads to animosity and petty competition among personnel in a stupid game of "anything you can do, I can do better".

    Advice to Management

Why? Some employees are very expressive on the annual "anonymous" yet, "mandatory" surveys about what is and what isn't working in the organization. Despite those comments, things pretty much remain the same.
