I have been working at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you are ambitious you can take on as much as you want. Internal politics are kept to a minimum so you can get the job done. Great place to learn, grow quicky, and stay if you like it

    Cons

Can be a extremely demanding place to work. Coordination and communication between teams is sometimes poor.

    Advice to Management

The salary bumps for the engineers are really helping. Communication and coordination between teams across the development spectrum needs work. Need to do a better job of integrating new hires and guidance on how to grow (not everyone figures it out for themselves)

I worked at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company has excellent work culture.
Diverse workplace is fun to work at.
Company provide good profit sharing plan as well as a pension plan

    Cons

The company pretty much uses a three year sure-fire cycle. They hire and layoff loads of people every three years. Columbus, Indiana is not a fun place to stay at all.

    Pros

Lots of overtime. You get to drive some cool vehicles. You are mostly left alone by management as long as you are doing your job

    Cons

Temporary work and call backs are rare. You drive several uncomfortable vehicles and it is very demanding and punishing on your body.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (More than a year)

    Pros

Good working environment, ability to learn broad knowledge in the field when beginning. Then you can choose which path you want to go down to specialize in.

    Cons

Difficult to get people receptive to new ideas and approaches to problems. Cost is always the priority so executives will often scrap projects halfway through.

    Advice to Management

Management is pretty good but some managers are more accommodating to the engineers than others. Most tend to give engineers good freedom rather than micro managing.
