This job is a lot of work, but totally worth it. Prepare for an unforgettable, yet incredibly busy summer.

I worked at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Plenty of challenging work, new projects daily, automotive discount, Jeep brand.

    Cons

Still ha e not recovered from post bankruptcy mode, daily firefighting with little time to work problem forward and prevent repeats, not enough standardization. There is always a "For Sale" sign in the front yard. When you submit your (2-3) weeks. Price be prepared to be walked out that day.

    Advice to Management

You have amazing teams/people, leverage them. Invest in manufacturing and stop cheaping out at the last minute. Establish WCM as a tool to lead change not pretty boards for audits.

I worked at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Pay was good, but Management does not know what they are doing so its like driving blind

    Cons

Managers micro manage without knowing how to regularly manage. PLM are biased and unfair. Do not trust management

    Advice to Management

Get more training - and upper management check how lower management is actually treating employees - you are loosing workers to incompetence.

I have been working at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good pay for recent college graduates. Look at it as boot camp for manufacturing in a fast pace environment. Health care benefits are decent depending on the size of your family.

    Cons

Long unusual hours with no family balance. UL's have all the responsibilities with no time to attack top issues. So top losses tend to linger for several weeks if not months.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your floor generals in their perspective departments for improvement. Develop tactical teams to attack top loss to reduce cost rapidly.
