Good stable company to work for.

I have been working at FCI Constructors (Colorado) full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

A true employee owned company with a very attractive stock purchase program. Health benefits second to none. Full family coverage ( at no cost to employee) with exceptionally low out of pocket copay.

    Cons

    Not many to speak of.

    Advice to Management

If we grow too big, too fast we could easily lose our core culture.

I worked at FCI Constructors (Colorado) as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

FCI Williston has a great team that works hard but still finds time to be together outside of the office. Great group of people who take everyone in as family if you're willing to work hard and learn.

    Cons

Struggled at times as a young adult in Williston, ND.

I have been working at FCI Constructors (Colorado) full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Employee owned; can buy stocks. Employer paid health coverage. Good culture.

    Cons

nepotism. No career development. Not much opportunity for advancement for management side of field operations. Company has grown a lot in the last time 10 years but still operates like it always has.

    Advice to Management

Bring operations into the 21st century.

    Pros

FCI is very honest in their dealings with both employees and clients. They value employees and their contributions to the company and show it in many ways. They provide support to their people and back them up.

    Cons

Certainly FCI is not perfect but I am hard pressed to think of anything to list here. Perhaps one thing is to make sure the corporate vision is fully shared by all branch offices.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.

I worked at FCI Constructors (Colorado) as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Co-workers were passionate about their job and fun to work with. Activities outside of work.

    Cons

Schedule was redone every week because one of the sub contractors was always behind, causing delays to the rest of the project.

I worked at FCI Constructors (Colorado) full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits, good office support typically. Good company cell phone. Good HR support from CO office.

    Cons

Not the best technology. JOC program doesn't have a good work/life balance. PM under JOC is not concerned with career advancement.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of people who don't conform to company culture or values. JOC program had 4 people in and out in less than a year.

I have been working at FCI Constructors (Colorado) full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Has a very good company culture. Good benefits package. Excellent C - level leadership. Work has remained relatively steady through a down economy.

    Cons

Low pay, and raises are nearly non-existent. Very little room for advancement. Extremely poor professional development / mentoring. Management is out of touch with the needs of field personnel.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

    Good Benefits program for employees

    Cons

Senior Level Management is Click who take care of each other before all others
As much work as possible is handed down to junior management within the company. When that work is not completed as expected your reviews are poor and future opportunites are harder to obtain
Little to no professional development or mentoring goes on within the company. You either pick it up on your own or wash out.

    Advice to Management

Start taking care of the employees who take care of you.
Don't worry about stock prices more than taking care of families
