I worked at FCi Federal for more than 3 years

    Pros

Learn new skills, Federal government holidays

    Cons

No raises, Human Resources is barely working!! Expectations are unrealistic. Turnover is very high!!!! Stay away from FCI. Health benefits are extremely high!

    Advice to Management

Upper management needs to pay attention to all areas!! Some employees work really hard then you have employees who milk the clock! Treat all your employees with respect and if there are problems -TAKE care of them!

I worked at FCi Federal full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The only pro is job security because they will hire and keep pretty much anyone with a pulse.

    Cons

When you are hired, they give you the illusion that you will be working for the Federal Government when you are actually contracted by a private company. Upper management is invisible due to the fact that they hold contracts in several states, but have HQ in Virginia and is very difficult to receive responses from when contacted by phone or e-mail. NO raises, paid time off accrues VERY slowly (you need to work 6... weeks just to get enough time to take 1 day off), VERY expensive, but mediocre, health insurance. No room whatsoever for advancement.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your hard-working employees by giving pay raises based on merit. Don't pay people who are just starting the same as someone who has been working in excess of five years. Pay more money toward health/dental insurance benefits.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at FCi Federal full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Benefits and depending on your local and title, the pay. You'll always be busy with work. Management will have your back SOMETIMES if you make a mistake.

    Cons

You will run into many bigoted and rude people working in government. Government and contract employees are discouraged from being friendly with one another. There is no adequate training, no team building, and you're constantly overloaded with work but never really thanked for it. No advancement, unless you apply for another position that has to be opened first. No raises. Everyone is looking to leave because the... government is so thankless.

    Advice to Management

Train your employees better and keep employees in the loop. Also try to make sure that government does not try to blame everything on your employees.

    I worked at FCi Federal

    Pros

Nothing - It's just a job low pay is better than no pay Hooray for Union

    Cons

Corporate office is clueless about what employees deal with on the sites. Lots of profit employees never see. Revolving door for upper management. No raises except for the CEO and her hired hand, the president. Don't apply you'll regret it

    Advice to Management

Try not flaunting how great you have it when the rest of us are barely making it -it's better if you stay away from the sites Try training the managers Thank goodness for the Union
