I have been working at FDM Group for more than 3 years

    Pros

Puts you in job positions you wouldn't normally be able to get, at big name companies. Really gives you that leg into the industry.

    Cons

You have to sacrifice pay, 2 years of your time, your pay, your ability to move to another job, and did I mention your pay? They pay you nickles and dimes in the first 2 years of working, barely enough to survive on your own in NYC.

I worked at FDM Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Decent Training Program, floor design also looks nice.

    Cons

While the material is good, some of the staff are terrible. Do not "rock the boat" with modern business idea's. Never speak about new business concepts or innovations. They want to sell you to almost only bank and bank-related companies who are run by very old school business ideals. If you go to the New York office they will put you in a tiny room, which you have to share with another person. There will be about 18...

I have been working at FDM Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Exposure to big companies and big projects. Good salary after when you start 3rd year. FDM don't bother you much when your onsite with a client. Trainers are very helpful and approachable If your lucky and get placed with a good client during training or just after training you will enjoy your experience. If you have to wait 90 days or don't get placed at all its a different story. FDM increased salaries last year...

    Cons

Very corporate (especially the sales team). Feels like they blackball you for other jobs after bad interviews. The threat of having to pay £20,000 training fee if you want to leave. Will always take the clients side if you have problems with onsite managers. Being beached after leaving a client as your salary will drop to a basic rate and you will be depressed whilst wait for a new placement. You have to be UK flexible...

I worked at FDM Group for more than a year

    Pros

There are no pros working here. The least professional company I have worked for. You will learn nothing apart from a few SQL queries working here and will never be taken seriously.

    Cons

No matter what training scheme you choose (whether it be BA, Developer, Tester etc), they will never place you with a client in that role. The role is 99% an admin role where you will learn nothing relevant to your training stream. Extremely poor pay, no company benefits. When you are not placed with a client, you are sitting in the pond learning nothing and waiting for an account manager to get in touch with...

    Advice to Management

The management completely isolate themselves from their consultants. It is a place to work if you have no future aspirations.

I have been working at FDM Group for more than a year

    Pros

You get paid to learn! How refreshing after paying for university for 4 years.

    Cons

2 year contract, but you still get paid

I have been working at FDM Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Provides comprehensive training that directly relates to your field and to clients needs. - Allows the opportunity to interview and work with top tier companies - Get paid during training - Ability to stay on with clients at the end of contract -Introduced to a wide range of companies and sectors - Good company culture

    Cons

Would be great to have more feedback provided from FDM on performance whilst onsite.

    Advice to Management

-Continue to maintain a strong company culture with work events and meet ups. -Look to prorate the training costs based on how long employees have been on site.

I have been working at FDM Group for more than a year

    Pros

    There are some good clients

    Cons

Account managers who find you jobs are rarely helpful, training isnt very good and trainers are there more for an income rather than an affinity to teach. YOu have no say in where you get placed and if you get places outside of london, you wont get any extra financial help for accomodation
