I have been working at FDM Group for more than a year

    Pros

    - gave me an oppurtunity to finally enter the proffesional work enviornement with a large global company - training helped me as i was lacking confidence and expierence and they provided credibility for myself -entered workforce on jr. level so started off ahead of the game and within two years will be in a position to make a nice salary - disciplined me into working again 9-5 while simulating work enviornment -...

    Cons

    - it may take a long time to get placed. From when i started training to when i got a job was 7 months. however some people did get hired right away. it is largely dependent on stream as developers are in high demand and time of year affects oppurtunities. -pay structure is different. because it is a UK comapany everyone is payed at the end of the month. Consultants who managed to get placed are guarnteed a monthly...

    Pros

Bad treatment, selfish trainer. U are their money machine maker. U have to schmooze on account manager to get an interview.

    Cons

Most of the 5-stars on this website are fake. They don't care about u. You will change ur work place many times during the two year. U won't even know which city you a gonna be.

I have been working at FDM Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Trainers are pretty helpful and the fellow trainees are a great network to build. The roles they allow you to get are generally fantastic especially if just starting out of college.

    Cons

Unpaid training and low starting salary for two years which they are upfront about. I'd recommend putting time into your resume (which they help you build) and treating the job seriously. Those that treated it like a job got placed in good roles and those that treated it like school or didn't take it seriously may have trouble.

I have been working at FDM Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Placement with a great company Some trainers are great. Medical, Dental, Vision Benefits

    Cons

FALSE ADVERTISING - They advertise this great training program with great placement. But the training is not that great. The training is sub-par and some training is computer based with no instructor. You are also forced to take training courses that are not a part of your career path. Your job placement may not be with a great company. They also make you think you are forced into a contract with them and if you...

    Pros

If you don't know what Indentured Labour is - look it up. That is what this companies business model is. You may get a placement at a large multinational. Some think it's an easy way into banking - well guess what it isn't.

    Cons

You are a bonded labour. If you leave or underperform they will claim you owe them £20k for the training. This is the biggest and dirtiest scam in the country and should be illegal. Employers reading? This company is NOT a consultancy. In a consultancy (i work for a big 4 right now), consultants have a network and resources which can be draw upon, to benefit the client. All FDM do is put young grads that can present...

    Pros

Exposure to top clients that are worth the wait in the long run.

    Cons

No flexibility in chose of client. I respect that you have to go where the money is, but it should be also about your own personal career development.

I have been working at FDM Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Very good way to begin a career. Training isn't to practionner level but enough to give you the knowledge to carry out the job at a basic level if motivated.

    Cons

Not a lot of support once you are through with the training, although this is improving drastically but currently it's one of the cons for me.

    Advice to Management

Offer more certified training to consultants, at least one a year, as the expectation is for you to grow every year, I think that will be the best way for both sides to win. This way at the end of the two years, should they choose to stay, you will be able to put them forward for more roles and they in turn will find it easier to continue to stay on site.

I have been working at FDM Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

-Very good start to your career -Gain valuable experience (when placed on site with blue chip companies) -FDM top clients are GREAT to have on your CV esp if you're just starting your career straight out of uni -I would definitely

    Cons

-Salary is considerably low but after 2 years you will be worth double that amount- so in my opinion its worth the wait. -Tied to 2 year contract, but then again you might as well gain 2 full years experience in your role due to competition in the market

    Advice to Management

Considering the low salary, other company benefits (e.g health, insurance, bonus) should be included in the package- especially 3rd year consultants in order to retain them.
