    Pros

    BEST EMS IN THE WORLD!!! Experienced BLS & ALS, EXCELLENT BENEFITS. Plenty of opportunity for growth. Union & Pension.

    Cons

    Testing every 3 years (REMAC & NY STATE). New equipment takes awhile.

    Advice to Management

    Doing great, keep learning everything possible. You are great leaders!

    Pros

    Great place to gain experience; Excellent benefits including pension, annuity, and free health insurance; civil service protection; advancement opportunities.

    Cons

    Have to work through most weekends and holidays, constant potential of being mandated to stay for up to 16 hour shifts.

    Advice to Management

    management should take on more of a support role instead of micro managing especially during patient care situations.

    Great working environment. Co-workers were easy to get along with. Managers were fair to work for.

    Cons

    It was a temporary job. With no possibility for hire.

    Give incentive to temps for hiring possibilities.

    Pros

    Salary could be much better, union is working on it. Good benefits, fantastic educational opportunities. Free in-house Medic school!

    Cons

    Salary needs to reach parity with other uniformed services.

    Work schedule is flexible if you work on the street

    Cons

    Depending on the location where you work more units may be busier than others, but you all get paid the same.
