    Pros

Clean, well-organized factory that seeks excellence in product design and process flow. Continuous improvement systems allow operators a say in how things run.
Upper management is conservative, seeks to preserve jobs and create opportunities within the company.

    Cons

Floor supervisors generally have little education in management. Not much continuity between how different supervisors handle conflict, merit increases, or "people" issues.

    Advice to Management

Consider ways to increase continuity between how separate departments are run (i.e. engineering departments as well as operators). There is often a disconnect between management and floor morale.

    Cons

Some of the management is difficult to work with, there seems to be a wall between those on the production floor and those on the office
