    Pros

Good work space. Good Benefits package.

    Cons

Clumsy and un-managed management. Senior management doesn't know what line management is doing.

    Advice to Management

Be aware of your organization and what they are doing.

I have been working at FICO full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Working with very talented people

    Cons

Little accountability and not taking real responsibility by management for ineffective and damaging decision making. Not real direction. No real career path. No real follow through by management. Time to leave.

    Advice to Management

Take a real look at the impact you are having, over inflated sense of self and ability doesn't do anyone any good. Stop pretending.

    Pros

    - Work-life balance
    - Easy hours
    - A lot of opportunity to learn new skills
    - Interesting people

    Cons

    - No vision, culture, energy - lacks anything to be really excited about
    - Very little opportunity for upward mobility
    - Decisions are executive driven resulting in a lack of empowerment amongst employees

    Advice to Management

Create a meaningful culture with an exciting, employee-driven vision, a supportive atmosphere and opportunities for growth.

I have been working at FICO full-time

    Pros

Free snacks, ok work-life balance, opportunities to learn if you are willing to take the reins and find them. My manager is great, but cannot speak for all management.

    Cons

Expensive health care, compensation is on the low side, it's considered inappropriate to ask for a raise, tuition reimbursement on low side, many decisions (especially in terms of promotions) are made due to politics versus merit, minimal direction or feedback from management

    Advice to Management

Provide raises & promotions to those who merit them, instead of going by tenure at the company. Learn how to look through the "fluff" and politics- who is really an asset and who is just good at talking themselves up? Typically those who need to talk themselves up are the most incompetent. Work on better health care options.

    I worked at FICO full-time

    Pros

Good people with great intent. Organize team and get them communicating around the globe and magic happens!

    Cons

Unfortunately, the magic is rare due to management disorganization/changing priorities and politics. I came from a co. that had 22,000 employees and Big co. politics, whereas this co. had about 2,200 employees and worse politics.

    Advice to Management

Get your people involved in solving the problems (hint: their ideas are better than yours), put some systems in place and stick to plans long enough (12+ months) to see them either succeed or fail, vs. bail at the first sign of weakness. If you think an employee is a problem, look into the mirror first...are you doing everything you can as their manager to ensure that person's success? If not, fix that first.

    Pros

You'll thrive if you're self-motivated and confidently persistent.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at FICO full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

lots of talented and intelligent individuals, wonderful technology, free perks (sodas and snacks contradicts healthy incentives), flexibility to work from home on days you need to

    Cons

flexibility goes both ways - you are expected to work on your days off; you are boxed into a job with no opportunity to grow or expand your skills; there is no training, it is sink or swim and the demands-expectations is set to sink you; the kicker comes at the annual review when you are told you barely met expectations so there is no raise or bonus only to see the person next to you get promoted when they slacked the whole year through and missed 90% of the deadlines

    Advice to Management

you need to value the hard working individuals whom you've set to grind through the day-to-day responsibilities who never see the light of day; without them, all your winning sales/contracts will never succeed once you on-board the client. success is not getting the contract signed, it is keeping the client engaged long term and the employees motivated to perform
