I worked at FMC full-time for more than 10 years

      Pros

Flexible work life balance, decent vacation/benefits, nice people to work with (outside of management). Lower managers were supportive.

      Cons

Upper Management is horrible. Either you're part of the clique or not....bonus structure for sales was based on things not in your control.

      Advice to Management

Stop playing favorites, be a leader, and let those who are leaders do what they do best, lead. Take advice from underlings.

      Positive Outlook

I worked at FMC full-time for more than 8 years

      Pros

Benefits, vacation, pension. I was always treated well and was able to have many opportunities.

      Cons

Many different businesses are managed very differently. A gentle standard could provide consistency across bosses. The pay is below average, but a little offset with decent benefits.

      Advice to Management

Pay closer attention to MBA managers. Some are ok, but others live their lives bordering on harassment.

      I worked at FMC

      Pros

Compensation is one of the highest in the industry. You meet great individuals throughout the company.

      Cons

Upper level management needs to change. A number of initialatives in business has changed but upper level management has not due to the fact they've nerve worked anywhere else. So they see newcomers as threats.

      Advice to Management

Go to another company and learn new things. There is a lot of growth that need to happen but it's a good ole boy system. Stop keeping managers on board because they are friends and family members.

      Cons

sexist, non diverse leadership. Not a healthy place if politics is not your middle name. Authentic, compassionate leadership does not last or exist for very long....

FMC Corporation does not have a location in Wisconsin. This may perhaps be an FMC Technologies review posted to the FMC Corp page in error.

I have been working at FMC full-time for more than 5 years

        Pros

Good Pay, great location, generally good people, and a fun business with cool technologies.

        Cons

Directors are horrible, lack leadership and generally in it for themselves only. Professional development is non-existent. General hire external instead of from within.

        Advice to Management

Take better care of your people. There are great, talented people "wandering" and/or frustrated with the lack of direction and care.
