I worked at FMC Technologies full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good People and good experience. People are nice, friendly.

    Cons

Worst management, totally de-centralized management, finance is worst i have ever encountered. A lot of Execution issues, lay-offs, Recent employment discrimination cases found on Texas state website.

    Advice to Management

Lay-Off bad managers. Make your employees happy and fulfill their needs. Managers dont know what junior employees go through. I have felt racial discrimination under employment decision making.

I have been working at FMC Technologies full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They have excellent benefits, 9% 401k match, good vacation.

    Cons

FMC was a great place to give my career a boost, the only problem was getting to the next level. I'm not dumb, everywhere is a good ol boys club and evening knowing the good ol boys at FMC apparently doesn't do any good. If you want to do well at FMC you will get into the Subsea business and get to know the right people. HR is a complete joke, as mentioned in other reviews, so don't bother with them. Corporate is a no-mans land and you will never get out, so only go there knowing that. The bonus for lower level employees is awful, almost non existent.

    Advice to Management

I'm still a shareholder, so keep underpaying people and making big oil pay top dollar for your stuff!
