      Cons

Upper Management doesn't share its vision with lower level staff or give them any face time. Big disconnect between global and regional operations

      Pros

Fast paced management of manufacturing for large subsea oil and gas products. Great co-workers. Good support from technical teams.

      Cons

Company is matrix organization. Role had all the responsibility of engineering and manufacturing product from proposal, to design, to delivery (good challenge), but no direct control over personnel/groups working on your project. Upper management would re-prioritize projects, delaying the work, after you had negotiated delivery dates with client. Very frustrating!

      Unorganized

      Pros

Work life balance at FMC is very good, I was able to negotiate extra PTO and could use it at my own discretion. There are a great group of folks working there and all understand the hurdles you face working at FMC.

      Cons

Turnover is ridiculous, especially at the operational level at the field locations. As soon as you build re pore with someone, poof they are gone. FMC Can't seem to retain the strong, smart, and sociable employees. I think it is honestly due to the fact that upper management has done a pretty awful job of providing guidance on how to navigate in the industry today. Every couple of months there is a new re-organization of the division and new managers, it provides a pretty unstable culture which creates fear within the employees to even want to stay.

      Pros

The people, your peers across the globe are very easy to work with. You do get an opportunity to keep moving up and travel depending on your role.

      Cons

New upper management is making vey questionable decisions that has affected hundreds of employees. Just because you are good at what you do, does not guarantee that you will be working there tomorrow.

Awesome Company to work for except horrible upper management above managers within IT organization

      Pros

Gave me the opportunity to grow and develop lots of technical experience. Will always be grateful! Wonderful people and end users to work with.

      Cons

To much politics, self obsession, ignorance, selfishness, untrust worthy, unorganized upper management (above managers) i.e. CIO and Directors within IT organization. They are completely disconnected from the business and they are really hurting the business without realizing. They are more concerned with FMC Technologies Inc. being bought "Merger" with Technip.

      Pros

Great opportunity to move around in the company and experience the many facets of FMC Technologies. Great internal training program that is working to get employees better training and development in their fields.

      Cons

Office tensions are high, due to unforeseen future. Lack of motivation among employees. Seems as though upper management is not doing anything to boost morale.

      Pros

Company used to offer 1. Great Training 2. Opportunity for advancement 3. Ability to seek exciting opportunities once you have made it to a certain level

      Cons

Very typically of companies that have gotten too big with no reason for checks and balances they became "who you know" not "what you know". I was witness to a manager hiring people he had previously met at a bar. Saw many clicques form and many people with experience began leaving or being let go due to the failing economic client. There was a terribly high emphasis on change but no real direction. Upper management was being driven by recent college students to make changes, this made very little sense because they are the managers...

      Cons

Not the highest paid. Upper management indecisive and confused at times. Will make you do lots of rework and at time lots of politics
