    I'm impressed with the quality of the personnel, the output on behalf of clients and the business diversity.

    Working long hours to deliver for clients, however, at my career stage this is the norm.

    It's a big company and your boss impacts your whole future. It's hard to stand out and the work can be menial even at higher titles.

    Able to deal with complex accounting, auditing, and financial reporting situations for Fortune 500 Companies.

    Cons

    There is no pension plan for employees. It would be great to have more retirement vehicles.

    Pros

    control your own destiny type of environment. Small organization, so you do meet a lot of folks within your service line.

    Cons

    Health Services never felt like it had the right vision and directions of where it wanted to go. Leadership was saying wanted to be more in health IT space, but most resources were converted industry staff. Many layoffs last summer after posting record quarter earnings. Low utilization across healthcare, but layoffs did not focus on utilization metrics. Many let go with good metrics, but they were not hired by right person

    I have been working at FTI Consulting full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    Lots of opportunity to work on important, difficult problems. Many great coworkers - smart and hard-working. Lots of freedom to make your own path.

    Cons

    Long engagements can wear on teams and morale, and there's little effort to try to break up the monotony. Promotion / career path is more rigid (time-based) than management would like you to believe. Results in lack of motivation in younger staff to push and achieve.
