Great people to work with, product that helps many, Lunch on site, work out room, flexible scheduling.

    Cons

Low pay, no advancement opportunities, Top heavy management, no formal structure

    Advice to Management

Need to restructure and hire employees to work their way up-too many managers and turn over to make the company effective.

I have been working at FUJIFILM SonoSite full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Work is varied, so I get to work on tons of different projects. The work is challenging, too; I've had to learn a lot about ultrasound technology. The customer base is incredibly enthusiastic. Work/life balance is great. I've worked many jobs where my off-work hours were still dedicated to work, but this isn't one of them! We have subsidized catering for breakfast and lunch, an employee gym and locker rooms, bike storage, free parking, and a newly renovated building.

    Cons

Pay could be better, but benefits are really good, so it's kind of a draw. Like all companies, there are silos between departments that can sometimes hamper progress on projects. But I feel like all the employees I have worked with so far have been trying to break down those inter-departmental barriers.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the amazing work! I appreciate the efforts made to make all employees feel empowered and valuable.

I have been working at FUJIFILM SonoSite full-time

    Pros

    The product can save lives.

    Cons

Fuji management can't figure out that they have to get new product out to the market faster. Penny wise but dollar stupid.

    Advice to Management

Americans have different incentives than other countries. If you don't offer competitive salaries or clear guidance, you'll lose valuable talented people (and you are).

    Pros

The people here are wonderful, and the work is great. I really enjoy coming to work every day. We get great subsidized meals, and office politics are minimal. I don't usually feel much pressure on a daily basis, and am able to perform my job and have received great feedback and reviews. Health benefits are pretty good- the company contributes to the HSA, which helps with the high deductible.

    Cons

Unfortunately, the company doesn't give raises, bonuses or profit sharing. We've been hearing that they are re-doing all of this, but I'm basically making the same salary as when I started. I feel that my career is going nowhere here, so, while I hate to do it, I'll be starting a new job search. There have been many people who have left engineering lately, especially in leadership roles. I just can't afford to work here anymore.

    Advice to Management

Understand that you are going to lose your talent if you don't start paying and rewarding your employees. You've created a great working environment, but you have to reward your employees if you want them to stay.

I worked at FUJIFILM SonoSite full-time

    Pros

Some very talented and wonderful employees dedicated to bettering the ultrasound world. Great brand recognition. Wonderful customer base utilizing life saving devices.

    Cons

Management- the greatest con to any company. SonoSite was once a great leader in technology and an achievement to have on your resume - but no more. Management is more focused on office politics and gaining titles for themselves instead of fostering growth and productivity. Management spends zero time developing employees, instead they fire, force out, or debilitate competent, aggressive, and talented individuals that want to better the company. Management consistently hires and promotes individuals that are equally obsessed with playing political games and churning out the same things that have always been done, over and over.

I could go on about why never to work for this company.

    Advice to Management

Tear down and rebuild management from top to bottom. Spend less time worrying about egos and political games.
