    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at FXB International full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

FXB Village Network model gets ultra poor out of poverty within three years at a very low cost, working with 80 families and contributes to eradication of global poverty. It was developed by its visionary activist Founder, transforms the lives of millions of people, through its pragmatic three- year- time bound approach. Its strength comes from its integrated approach which develop people's capabilities.

    Cons

Tight funding environment for NGOs is slowing the growth of the organization. Donors' lack of interest to fund M&E and academic studies to lay the empirical base of the Model is another challenge to be turned around.

    Advice to Management

Find progressive donors who will support this unique model to get more people out of poverty.

    Pros

-Organization is in flux but with all signs pointing to great things ahead--in terms of the services the org provides, its growth and evolution, its partnerships, and the changes it can bring to the development sphere.
-CEO (Mayberry) and several others in senior management are excellent leaders and make good decisions.
-Excellent office environment: professional, good work-life balance, and fun, happy atmosphere.
-Truly fulfilling work in a place that has contributed greatly over the past two decades to poverty reduction and AIDS relief for orphans and their families worldwide.
-Well-known and tremendously well-connected Board of Directors who are getting increasingly involved in improving the org.

    Cons

-Future is still uncertain and as of early 2011, it has just gone through significant staff turnover.
-Not enough emphasis placed on staff development, although this may be due to large degree to things being in flux.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on staff development. Make sure that those individuals showing willingness to take on more are provided with opportunities to do so, i.e. the progress of employees should be more dynamic.
