    Pros

Your experience here really depends on your attitude and amount of work you put in:
-If you're motivated, career advancement is available
    -they recognize talent
-industry leader so there is much to learn
    -international company
-if you like finance, this is good for you

    Cons

-If you're not motivated, you will stay where you are like me, nothing is handed to you (no set structure or development plan here)
-relatively low salary, but bonuses can be high
    -company is currently rebuilding financially
-turnover is high becase it is not a good fit for some

    Advice to Management

Standardize more. Employee experience can be so different from branch to branch and even manager to manager. Lack of standardization leads to lack of company culture. And invest in employees more (attention, financially, and development)

    Cons

Very hectic and stressful duties on a daily basis. Not much training and was throw into some situations where training would have been useful.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the ground troops more often, they know a thing or two

    Pros

    Great co-workers and fun environment.

    Cons

After the company went public, owners and managers checked out after they cashed out. Things went downhill fast as they brought in new management with lack of internal knowledge to lead the company into a series of bad moves. This includes cutting margins by 30%, reducing/eliminating bonuses, requiring employees to clock in and out and a serious downgrade of health benefits based on political and religious biases.

    Advice to Management

Stop listening to the brown noses. They're only telling you what you want to hear.

    Pros

Reasonable compensation. Great benefits. Great co-workers. Global presence and opportunity to work with people worldwide. Possibility of advancement and growth as a professional. The reality is that you make what you want of your position and advancement.

    Cons

    401k is not matched.
    No tuition reimbursement.
    Dental insurance is high.
Compensation, though reasonable, seems to not be enough for some, thus the quick exit of some.

    Advice to Management

In order to keep employees and not continue the constant revolving door every few years or months, bring the compensation level up a bit. It's not a surefire solution, but it might help.

I worked at FXCM (More than a year)

    Pros

You can use your personal and sick days whenever, no questions asked.

    Free parking.

They have the tech to allow you to work from home (but only upper management can use it whenever they want).

    Cons

    They do not match 401k.

    Pay is low.

    High turnover.

Will have to work on holidays(except Christmas and New Years).

Team leader unwilling to assist with daily workload, but is ready to write you up when you make a mistake.

Considered a burden if you ask to many questions to certain team leaders.

If you make more than 2 mistakes in a month you're put on probation. If within the year you make unrelated errors, you're out. ( Three strikes your out applies here).

They expect you to run a marathon, when you've never trained for a mile run.

    Advice to Management

If you have people willing to do the work, let them. Putting quotas on your employees, stresses them out and does not make a good working environment.
