    Pros

+ best company in the world
    + amazing offices
+ super friendly, super talented colleagues
    + clear, actionable mission

    Cons

    - it's bigger than it used to be, but that's not such a con as it's still fast moving

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing, it's an unbeatable culture

I have been working at Facebook (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very friendly environment, there is training available for anything you need, people are very open, very helpful.
There is a lot of space to bring new ideas.

    Cons

    Everything is great so far.

I worked at Facebook (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good perks, though moslty for full time employees, great food, office space and culture overall.

    Cons

Huge gap between contractors and FTE's, even the badges are different so everybody instantly knows where they belong. No mixing with 'real' Facebookers.
The company is becoming more corporate and work-life balance is non existant. They make you feel obligated to love FB and consider yourself lucky to be a part of the family. And at the same time they send you emails about contractors eating too many snacks...
Instead of giving contractors priority when applyig internally, seems like it's even harder for them to get to the company which is crazy considering most contractors work harder and now more than FTE's. They would rather hire a complete outsider and train them from scratch.

    Advice to Management

Figure out what do you actually want from employees. A guy from my team was told he is 'too visible' for Facebook?! Google grabbed him after few days :) The other one is not entusiastic enough for the company and he was the most knowledgeable person in the team of 100 people.

I have been working at Facebook full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    The working environment
    The people
The level of growth means there is lots of challenging work to do
Flexibility with working hours & possible to work from home when needed
A good place for working parents
    Fantastic benefits & perks

    Cons

If you are focused on job titles & climbing a corporate ladder it's not like that at facebook. Career growth & promotion is possible but the structure is quite flat. You don't need to take the people management route to get ahead. You can choose the individual contributor route & become an expert in your space.

    Advice to Management

Keep training new people managers to ensure they have the right skills as teams grow.

I have been working at Facebook full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I joined Facebook about four years ago and it's by far the best thing that wever happened to me. Every day I'm challenged to do what I do best, while driving impact and (in)directly contributing to the overall mission of making the world more open & connected. What I also love is that jobs and structures are created around a person and not vice versa. Yes thing move fast, change quickly, shift around but you get the trust and comfort to make impact. It all comes down to taking ownership.

    Cons

The lean structure and importance of individual contributors have created a structure where ownership is key. You don't always get guidance on what or how to do things. For some people this might not work.

I have been working at Facebook full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - It's all pros - the people I work with are the sort of people I would choose as friends anyway
    - Everyone is super smart, super humble, genuine and really friendly
    - Unlike other big companies where you become blocked by processes, Facebook lives by its move fast mantra and new innovations in products happen all the time
    - The free food is ridiculous, it's 7 star quality, absolutely delicious 100% of the time
    - There are lots of career progression opportunities because we keep growing
    - There is never a dull day and our sales conferences and all hands sessions are inspiring
    - You get to test new products before they go out on the market
    - Rewards for good performance are fantastic

    Cons

Nothing! This is the longest I have been in any company and I feel as happy today as the first day I walked in.

    Advice to Management

    - Keep doing what you are doing
    - Mark Zuckerburg is a genius and a world thought leader and all his management team are top class

I have been working at Facebook full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great perks, working hours and environment pretty flexible, people are really friendly and most if them can teach you a lot. Also everything you do affects a lot of people and it's quite an amazing feeling to see that.

    Cons

It's an "engineering first" company. So when you're working for an operations department and your work gets overlooked it can be a bit frustrating.

    Advice to Management

Not much at this point. It's an amazing company for it's size and I appreciate M teams efforts keeping it this way for this long.

I have been working at Facebook full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - They take care of basically all our needs. Laptop, mobile phone, food, shower, shares, health and life insurance, transport allowance, wellness and gym benefits amongst other stuff.

    Cons

This can be a very competitive environment and it can be a bit challenging depending on the nature of the employee.
