I worked at Facebook as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

Good pay and benefits for interns as well as full time employees! I enjoyed interning there for two summers and would highly recommend to anyone.

    Cons

Incredibly expensive area to live in, very little work-life balance among employees, very few people are involved in the actual communities around the Bay Area

    Pros

if you want to be racially fetishized then work here.

    Cons

High level of office politics. Tech bros give it a very misogynistic attitude.

I worked at Facebook as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

You have a lot of independence as an intern. A great first experience working on a small team. Even though it's a big company, you feel your impact.

    Cons

I didn't get a sense of company culture while I was there. Maybe my team was particularly lackluster. Although we were co-workers for three months, they still felt like acquaintances.

I worked at Facebook as an intern

    Pros

I was able to be my authentic self and there's always a co-worker to lend a helping hand

    Cons

It's easy to end up working long hours

I worked at Facebook as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Established, well respected company with prestige and strong engineering
    - Sets/defines industry standards
    - Pay is top of the line, benefits are amazing, perks are unbelievable

    Cons

    - Overworked with extremely high expectations
    - No hand holding whatsoever
    - "Impact" (measurement used to describe success) sometimes left intentionally vague
    - People are not really sociable, socially-aware, or generally likeable

    Advice to Management

Get rid of that stupid tool that lets you compare how many lines of code you wrote versus everyone else so that I could've saved so many long nights trying to stay on par with everyone else
