I have been working at Facebook full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I've been at Facebook for about a year and a half and it is the first company i've worked for that's truly walked the walk in terms of standing by it's mission and values. The people that I work with care deeply about their users and about the company as a whole and Facebook cares deeply and invests in those employees as well. The problems are large scale and complex, but the people working to solve them are the best of the best. I come to work everyday and enjoy my job, I feel appreciated, secure in my role, and that I personally make an impact every day. It's a rare feeling.

Perks are insane, benefits are humbling and the people I work with are smart, funny and dynamic. Can't recommend the company enough.

    Cons

No large cons that come to mind.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. The transparency and realness provided from the top down is phenomenal.

I have been working at Facebook full-time

    Pros

    The food tastes really good

    Cons

    I gained 50 pounds over a year.

    Advice to Management

Help people learn more. Invest more in us, as opposed to letting job experience slightly make us better.

I have been working at Facebook full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Empowerment, culture, infrastructure, autonomy, impact, comp

    Cons

Much of the internal mythology about the company's culture isn't really true anymore, now that the company has grown to more than 20K employees. It's still a great place to work, but because the reality doesn't match the speeches it often leaves people feeling betrayed and disillusioned when FB turns out to just be a large tech company.

I have been working at Facebook full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Every day involves solving difficult problems with a bunch of very bright people. We're rewarded well for this, and everyone treats each other with mutual respect.

    Cons

People do work harder than at some other tech companies. Commuting in the Bay isn't overly fun.

    Advice to Management

Strive to keep autonomy as the company grows rapidly. Trust and independence are key to the company remaining successful.
