      Support Center Representative

Aug 10, 2015 - Customer Service Representative II in Columbus, OH

      Business Outlook

      Pros

The Support Center is pretty laid back and everyone is really helpful. Right now, the business is growing rapidly, so there are a ton of advancement opportunities. Pay was just raised to a minimum of $13 per hour, with opportunity on the call center to earn up to $15 per hour. In addition to the better pay, we also are given a very generous amount of paid time off. I think this job would be great for anyone in any stage of life, whether you be a college student looking for part time work, a retired person looking for some extra income and being able to sit without much activity, or someone who is looking to make a career change.

      Cons

Insurance is kind of pricey, communication can lack and upper management isn't always on the same page.

      Not worth your time

Aug 30, 2020 - Project Management Office (PMO) in Phoenix, AZ

      Pros

Central Phoenix location. Global company in real-estate and retail...

      Cons

Where to start. The longest tenure employee has been with the company for a little over a year in the PMO department (aside from upper management, of course). Super toxic environment, a lack of compassionate leadership, and ton of politics.

      Need better management

Oct 19, 2017 - Service Coordinator in Columbus, OH

      Pros

Decent pay, good culture and benefits

      Cons

The job itself is not difficult however can be overbearing due to poor communication and lack of trust from upper management. I can only speak from my experience on the enterprise account. My manager is constantly hovering and is prompt to point out any errors. I’m constantly interrogated from one of my four managers’ who uses an accusatory tone all the time. She lacks the skill to manage effectively and forces her resolution regardless of any input I might have. Senior management only cares about numbers. We need to be trained better. You can ask two people about the same issue and they'll have two different answers. Things run smoother, more efficiently and considerably quicker when people have their own designated tasks

      Cons

Upper management, communication, lies. Don't believe a word they say they will lie to get you to be here but don't stick to anything they say

      Good Employees Leave Bad Managers

Nov 13, 2014 - Inbound Customer Service Representative in Columbus, OH
      Recommend
      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

The job itself is pretty okay. The calls are from usually professional people and it tends to be pretty easy once you actually know what you're doing. People on the help desk are pretty great.

      Cons

They throw too much on people who know nothing about what they are doing or how it should be done. Training is a joke. Compensation is the bare minimum. Supervisors are either oblivious to what is going on, or they know how it should be going but are unable to do much about it. Big Wigs only care about what client is upset this month, but don't try to dig to the bottom of WHY the service level agreements are not being met (the revolving door, the general apathetic performance from help desk employees etc). People are kept on the help desk when they should be training or supervising, and supervisors are hired externally with what seems like no experience for these sorts of situations. The totally inexplicable competition and culture of hate between inbound csrs and client services is completely mind-boggling, but the blatant disrespect from upper management is too much to bear. Also, bed bugs. Come on.

      CSR

Oct 9, 2012 - Customer Service Representative in Columbus, OH
      Recommend
      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

There are dedicated people that work there and the benefits to employees are getting better each year. You have excellent job security if you are able to follow the rules.

      Cons

There is no incentive to be a good employee. The bad employees are always rewarded. Very clickish in the groups. Disconnect between upper management and the employees cause tension in the call center. The promotional opportunities are limited.
