I have been working at FactSet full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I've been an employee for a number of years, and things have started to improve significantly under the new management. While the company grew in sales/operations under the previous CEO, the employee experience was stagnant. The new folks are constantly asking how our processes can be better. For the first time, I feel that upper management is listening to the employees and they are earning more of my trust.

Salaries and benefits are good, growth opportunities are pretty good (especially if you hustle), and the company is flexible. This isn't a company that asks its employees to sacrifice their entire lives to work here, which is why people will say it has good work/life balance. But if you want to work extra hard, you can increasingly find good opportunities for that.

    Cons

Speaking as an engineer, FactSet has a good engineering culture but it's still not a destination for the absolute best and brightest engineers (to quote from the new company motto). Perhaps one piece that's missing is a research competency, to establish that FactSet produces core innovations instead of only modeling ourselves on others. Some work has actually begun on that, but it's in its infancy.

    Advice to Management

You are asking all the right questions (except for maybe the one I mentioned in my con). I think you are earning trust, so keep it up. I don't believe you are moving excessively fast.

I have been working at FactSet full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Great benefits - Free lunch (Monday-Thursday & bagel Fridays), free healthcare, snacks/drinks in the office
    - Surrounded by great people
    - Raises / bonuses come over 6 months
    - Volunteer opportunities

    Cons

    - Not the typical 9AM-5PM, it simply depends on your team expectations.
    - Lunch time isn't very social. Everyone just eats at their desks.
    - Some people that have been here for a number of years that have the my way or the highway way of thinking
    - No summer Fridays
    - No bonus structure

    Advice to Management

Give your employees the benefit of the doubt for work from home or work life balance. If you give your employees the flexible freedom you'll have happier and more successful employees
