I worked at Fado Irish Pub part-time

    Pros

I never worked in a big restaurant/bar before so I started as a runner but the staff and managers were very helpful and encouraging and I was able to make my way up as a server quickly. Good atmosphere and very friendly staff.

    Cons

My schedule changed pretty frequently without much consent.

    Advice to Management

    go irish

I worked at Fado Irish Pub full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

This pub is like a family. Closer than family for some. Amazing teamwork and really tries to be an inclusive environment for all employees and guests.

    Cons

The normal stresses of restaurant life, of course. Also over the last couple of years it has become more and more corporate, which is disappointing for the old timers who were around when each pub had a lot of its own personality.

    Pros

Great co workers, flexible with scheduling. Very busy for most local sports games.

    Cons

No parking so be ready to pay a lot out of pocket for parking and tickets if you can't snaek away to pay. Rather hard to qualify for benefits.

I have been working at Fado Irish Pub full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Friendly staff, some lifers, some come and go. The staff is close like a family, and it is a great place to work. There are opportunities for advancement within the company. Overall a great place to work for FOH, BOH, and Management.

    Cons

Sometimes there are some slow periods, which for servers may seem a bit rough, but it equally evens out during the busy seasons.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

  7. "Awesome management, great co-workers"

    Pros

This pub has an amazing general manager that really takes care of employees that are responsible and work hard. They will promote service staff to shift supervisors and occasionally managers if you're interested. The staff take care of one another in and outside of the pub and many people have worked there full or part time for years. The pub has a great location and earning potential is pretty high throughout the week/year. It also has a lot of regulars so you can get to know your customers.

    Cons

It's the service industry - if you don't like working late or long hours or hustling, it's not for you.

Good money. Good food. Upper management is wonderful. Love going to work everyday. Can support my family.

    Cons

Training takes a long time. Menu training is extensive. Training server not the best. Bar staff not very friendly.

    Pros

This is a company that you will love to learn about tell others about and have the ability to grow with. They take care of their employees.

    Cons

The locations are inconsistent in their standards depending on the location.

    Advice to Management

Communication and standards should be the same all over the company.

I worked at Fado Irish Pub full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

People, Environment and Customers! Great place to be and good family feel with staff and customers. Definitely good money for serving job or bar.

    Cons

Can later hours, but it's worth the money. Typically, the managers help everyone make money and balance out the schedule.

    Advice to Management

Keep hiring people who fit personality of company. Don't get too corporate.
