Pros
It was a great opportunity to not only make many meaningful and lasting relationships with upper management, volunteers, and also regular patrons. There was room for growth, started out in high school as a pro-shop assistant but was able to become a manager.
Cons
Although the atmosphere was great the pay was not nearly close enough to being at a living wage. Also tough to get weekends off.

Pros
Great work environment. Free to solve problems creatively. Not "pinned down" to one specific task. You can learn and work on as many things as you want.
Cons
No pay raises for 7 years, not even a performance evaluation. FCPA budget frozen since 2011.
