Pay is good, hours are flexible, employees are good people, managers are generally easy to work with, opportunity for advancement, several locations.

Benefits are almost not existent until you become a salaried employee.

Having worked here for the past five summers, and being promoted 3 times, I can say that there are great opportunities to advance into management roles and gain experience in management.

Even in management it is not a 9 to 5 job so the hours can be a little hard but that is to be expected due to the nature of the job.

It was a great opportunity to not only make many meaningful and lasting relationships with upper management, volunteers, and also regular patrons. There was room for growth, started out in high school as a pro-shop assistant but was able to become a manager.
Cons
Although the atmosphere was great the pay was not nearly close enough to being at a living wage. Also tough to get weekends off.
