    Pros

Good place to gain experience ONLY. You can learn a lot. The office is clean, there is a really nice break-room.

    Cons

Benefits SUCK! Managers SUCK! They gossip about EVERYONE in there. Managers say coordinators are not performing, but fail to realize that they are a reflection of them. They want "professionalism" but are not professional at all! No organization or structure. Employees are NOT valued. No raises, and if there are, everyone gets the same raise. Good performance does NOT matter goes unnoticed, unless it is bad then you get reprimanded (of course the bad cannot go unnoticed!). Managers are too focused on their personal lives, will be late and absent all the time, but complain about coordinators doing anything similar.

    Advice to Management

Be professional and you will get professional. Be fair, because you are not.

    Pros

Bonuses once a year, 1 hour lunch, stability, long term

    Cons

No 401k match, 3 sick days off per year, no pay raises as of 2016, no growth, no fun very uptight, no headsets allowed to listen to music

    Advice to Management

Happy employees are loyal employees and will thrive with the company; recognize and reward your employees, listen to them. Add a survey box to see what employees really think could be improved to better the company, ask for input this can allow a insight for the company to reshaping and creating a more positive and creative work environment so employees won't feel as if their going to jail instead of work. Keeping a strong happy team together Will only help the company prosper.

I have been working at Fairmont Designs full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

If you work, you at least receive a paycheck come payday! If you are of Asian decent, this place will suit you just perfectly as those are the only people whom become promoted.

    Cons

No collaboration among departments as they are all bickering at each other for faults and flaws. The owner is a joke and just flaunts his "self-success" without regard to his employees. The Ex-President was the only competent employee which spoke fluent English and the owner replaced him with another Asian. The owner uses blatant language during conference meetings and does not think otherwise. Your reviews will always be sub-par so that you will not receive a pay increase.

    Advice to Management

    Your company needs top-down restructuring.

    Pros

If you just want a pay check without having to work hard....just follow directions...this is a good place for you. Stable and few layoffs

    Cons

Lot of politics. Very strict policies such as no snacking at your desk. "The boss" once in a while sends threats to the employees....demanding small things such as no more than one picture on your desk. The trash cans have to be the same color within the same floor. You are not allowed to have a back support pillow with the color that is not approved. Micro management and lack of professionalism are the two key words that fit the company perfectly. It seems like my manager does not have any authority toward decision making. As a matter of fact, everyone just follows the order of "the boss". Many people who want growth in their career entrusted me with their secrets: They are trying to leave but because of the economy they are stuck.

    Advice to Management

No advice is given because upper management just want their big paycheck signed by "the boss"

I have been working at Fairmont Designs full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I have been with the company for many years. The owner cares about his employees and their families. Good place to work. Kept clean. Nice environment. Good pay level.

    Cons

Upper management don't say "Good Job". Upper management needs to mingle with the working class. Some employees get away with too much, coming in late, coffee breaks, missing too much time, cell phones on desk, too much gossip, not enough work.

    Advice to Management

If employees have this much free time..then you have TOO MANY EMPLOYEES! You always want to save money. Look out your office doors and see who isn't working!!

    Pros

Incentives were nice. Did not micro manage. That's about all I can say about the pros.

    Cons

Management was no help its employees. Some were rather rude. Got little feedback when asked questions.

    Advice to Management

    Learn to communicate.
