    Positive Outlook

    Pros

As I began work at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, I began as a Van Driver, and worked through many different positions throughout that hotel. I was always given ample training, support, and guidance as I learned various positions from HR representative, to multiple food & beverage positions, I was always looked after. Transferring to the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth I was greeted with the same guidance and support as I grew as an employee with the company, I would recommend Fairmont hotels to anyone searching for a career in hospitality.

    Cons

While working with the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth I was part of the Union, and with the benefits of security, pension, and proper work protocol, I was unfortunately found on the low end of the totem poll, thus working strange hours, and occasionally having shifts bumped due to an employee with higher seniority.

    Advice to Management

Continue to provide exceptional service through unique customer service techniques, including anticipating guest needs, and turning moments into memories for each and every guest.
