Anyone work at Optum able to help me with a question? I was reviewing Optum’s employee benefits package and noticed that their health insurance package for the normal plan is like $366/pay or roughly 732/month? Am I reading that right? That seems incredibly high for a healthcare company; especially since the package has a $1,800 deductible and $3,600 out of pocket max? That’s just insane to me! Please someone let me know if I’m reading their data right?

How would you handle an unprofessional nurse and a department manager who enables and dismisses all issues? I’m a tech im also in nursing school I just had a nurse who is always rude and nasty scream at me over a seat and put her hands in my face but my job was threatened. Nothing happened to her. It has been a toxic work environment since the manager hired her friend.

How to deal with horrid bosses? I work at a rehabilitation center. I'm the only manager. I mean reports, referrals, calls, charges, hospital, data input, tech duties, scheduling (3 seperate schedules to be done. Including handwritten, electronic, and excel). Not to mention when a therapist comes in (we have 6-9 currently), I have to drop everything i am doing and assist them. On top of all my daily duties. I'm not allowed to miss work. Even came into work sick more than once with fever.

I’m so disheartened with healthcare. I currently work as a CMA and a CNA, and the way I was talked to by a resident tonight was so hurtful and disgusting. No one wanted to help with this resident bc of how they act and I literally walked out the room and told the nurse I could not finish. I apologized so much, but it was so hard not to lose my patience with the way I was talked too and was even threatened with physical harm. The facility knows how difficult this resident is and nothing changes.
