I have been working at Fairview Hospital part-time

I have been working at Fairview Hospital full-time

    Pros

Health/dental/vision, PTO, 401k (with partial matching), all benefits of full time offered even to part time employees, though at a higher cost.
Continuing BLS certification offered by hospital (50-75 dollar value)
CC offers tuition reimbursement for continued higher education (with some stipulations)

    Cons

They have been trying to rebuild the parking garage for the past year, and it seems that this progress has stopped and there is no "end" in sight. SO, the previous pro- of free parking for employees is mitigated by the fact that we are required to park at the IX Center and be shuttled over to the hospital.
Strongly discouraged overtime; you will get cancelled for a full or part shift if you try to pick up additional hours beyond 40 (this pays out time and a half).
CC has their own training for PCNA and therefore, you do not receive a STNA license that is transferrable to another company. However, if you already have an STNA license and experience, you get paid somewhere between 2 and 4 dollars more per hour.

    Pros

Benefits, Flexible Scheduling, Willing to work with student schedules, Positive work environment, On the job learning, Employee morale is very high, Opportunity for growth is high

    Cons

Cleveland Clinic in general should do away with their minimum 2 year working before you can be moved to another position. Look into lowering parking costs at main campus.

    Advice to Management

Look into lowering parking costs at main campus/providing extra benefits (like a shuttle) to those employees who have to park blocks away from their building
