I worked at Falcon Transport full-time

    Pros

Most of the time there was work to keep you busy. Great place to work to learn about the trucking industry, but not a place to stay.

    Cons

Very hypocritical work environment. Most management NOT friendly and will eventually treat you like crap and twist your words around. They would encourage you to ask for help, but when you'd be criticized for it. Management would talk badly about employees to other employees. My last day working there was the absolute worst. I've never been so disrespected in my life from an employer. I only worked there for 8 months and it was awful for the last 4 months I was there.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees equally, act respectful and act like an adult!

I worked at Falcon Transport full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Having a job, couple great driver/ trainers, good start for new drivers, good loads if you have a good dispatcher

    Cons

Cheapskate, do anything to save a buck, Junk equipment, struggle to get the equipment needed for job (tarps, straps, bungees) more of a number than human, tell you what you want to hear not the truth.

    Advice to Management

    Take care of your drivers.

I worked at Falcon Transport (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Working with the drivers to ensure that they were happy and confident in their dedicated lanes for hauling GM dedicated freight

    Cons

Company did not work as a team, not enough or barely any training for new employees, owner not active and working with employees

    Advice to Management

No advice to Management as management did not want to hear the concerns that needed to be addressed

I have been working at Falcon Transport full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's a job,is all I can say.when a person has a "JOB",and is willing to get up and go everyday, you should know that you have a chance that things(expenses)will be ok.working for Falcon the phrase"Gainful employment"is missing.

    Cons

equiment is less than desireable,to many hours for to little pay.the company manages to skirt overtime laws, when drivers are working locally, and for never ending hours.

    Advice to Management

rethink how you treat employees, pay and benefits mean everything to a working stiff,Falcon falls way short in both areas.

I worked at Falcon Transport full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

great office staff, loyal to a fault and hard working

    Cons

Owner is a megalomaniac who is 3rd generation and has zero understanding of how to manage a company. If not for his lineage he couldnt get a job managing a fruit stand. Too bad for this company which has great employees but leadership is completely absent. If not for the job market lacking in Youngstown all their staff would find other great jobs.

    Advice to Management

    sell

Learning about the transportation industry and being on the quarterly calls with industry analyst from JPM, BAC etc. Costing Lanes and being responsible for operations within the firm and driver management sector of the business.

    Cons

Very little downside, other than a crude work environment.

    Advice to Management

Offer Better compensation to internal associates.

I have been working at Falcon Transport full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I haul auto parts so I don't have to mess with unloading it. I run the same route everyday so I can get used to it and don't run into problems much. Since it is dedicated I don't have to deal with sitting around waiting on a dispatcher to get me a load. I don't even talk to my driver manager but once a week or so. Once you get through your first 30 days or so and you figure out what's expected and they start to trust you with your route you're pretty much on auto pilot. Equipment is the only reason it's not 5 stars. I fortunately have a 2016 model but I've seen some of the older stuff they have, but it is getting better! Good pay, good runs, leave you alone (as long as you do your job) is why I gave it 4.

    Cons

Equipment for some other drivers is out dated. But it's not terrible. They are getting more and more newer trucks.

    Advice to Management

Buy new stuff. Fix your stupid phone system.
