I have been working at FalconStor full-time

    Pros

I don't know what's up with the last review... I am generally "for" bashing the management but it was out of touch with the situation... feel like it was written by a management... lots of average people? Where are the people? I hope that was a real review and not some kind of naive political maneuver because the content of the post is hurting the company. I like working with average honest guy/gal than a "smart" guy any day not having to worry someone stabbing me at the back. The smart guys are the one sitting pretty to reap others' hard work. We need more hard working people to spread the overload if you call that average.

    Cons

The bagels are still stale after the first two days of changing bakery and I saw a red curly hair baked into a bagel once... I hope the baker's hair is curly.

I have been working at FalconStor full-time

    Pros

Good healthcare plan. Two working microwaves and stale bagels. Opportunity to make someone else rich.

    Cons

Management are painters (Stock Charts) and not farmers.

    Advice to Management

No advice since they only pretend to listen. They see no evil, hear no evil.

    I worked at FalconStor full-time

    Pros

Benefits are good and at low cost to employees. Not a bad salary for working on Long Island. New office space.

    Cons

Management team is terrible. Executive team thinks they can do no wrong but look at the results. Continually declining sales and headcount. No reward or thanks for hard work. Only management team gets compensated.

    Advice to Management

    Respect and reward your employees.

    I worked at FalconStor full-time

    Pros

Exposure to a lot of technology, ability to learn the ins and outs of storage industry.

    Cons

Upper management lacks directions, compensation is unfair, a job well done is never acknowledged, project specs & requirements always change on the fly.

I have been working at FalconStor full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

People are very dedicated and hard workers.

    Cons

    Leadership is floundering.
The technology is cool but the competition has caught up or surpassed FALC over the past couple years while their leadership has been floundering.
FALC solutions integrate with a lot of different hardware and software technologies and they have little to no access to these technologies to test their solutions. Unix is a major lacking platform.

    Advice to Management

Find a buyer who can make good use of FALC technologies before you run the company into the ground.

I have been working at FalconStor full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Startup environment where there are no completely defined roles so everyday one can find themselves doing a different role. I cover support and sales along with a regular presales work. I work often alone which means that though I work a lot, I make my schedule.

    Cons

Present engineering management does not inspire confidence. We often seem to low on resources

    Advice to Management

Change your engineer management. Make sure newly released products are ready.
