I have been working at FalconStor full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You can excel in a position if you are allowed the chance. Management has been changing, so there are new opportunities.

    Cons

There are a lot of politics for such a small company. Titles are given out as rewards instead of financial. The company doesn't promote a healthy work/life balance. Salaries are lower than other places and no bonus plan.

    Advice to Management

Some want change, but not everyone and a few bad eggs can spoil the bunch.

I have been working at FalconStor full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You don't have to worry about past experience. They provide training on their products.

    Cons

Less growth, you don't know where your future is going.

    Advice to Management

Employees are not stable because of less growth.

    Pros

    1. Great place to learn many new technologies
    2.

    Cons

    1. No real career development, it becomes a sweat shop and before you know it you've worked many 10-12 hour days and have no clue where you're going 'career' wise.
Management doesn't care about your future or present goals, they just want the work done.
As a result, by setting false expectations about your ability to grow with FalconStor..u end up being disappointed.

    Advice to Management

Change the brand, change the management style, put REAL processes in place.
Stop this "DROP EVERYTHING NOW AND LETS ALL SCRAMBLE AND DO THIS" work style because it doesn't work and EVERYONE , even you management, ends up spinning wheels unecessarily.
At the end of the day it does NOT pay.

Learning curve of the VTL, IPStor, SIR, and FDS appliances when first starting the company.
    Long Hours and changing shifts.
    Weekend Support
Can get extremely busy at times.

    Advice to Management

Instead of focusing on self gains, focus on your employees and clients more

    I worked at FalconStor full-time

    Pros

Company with strong existing business ties that can keep it afloat. Upper management has been extremely hard at work trying to reverse a bad situation.

    Cons

After ReiJane's passing via unnatural causes, the company has been struggling.just to keep existing. This reflects strongly with employee morale and paycheck. Search company stock history. It is clear you are not there to have fun and grow, you are fighting on the losing side of the battle and tasked with aid to reversing the tide.

If you get hired, you are probably replacing one or more expensive-er employee(s) who has left.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up. Your job is not easy. Tough decisions must be made, we understand.

    I worked at FalconStor full-time

    Pros

Great visionary roots. Good benefits. Opportunity is available, but you have to go get it - everyone is too busy to help you be successful.

    Cons

Too much baggage to attract the management talent necessary for it to run well.

    Advice to Management

Find a way to leverage patent portfolio. As always, become and stay relevant by finding a niche in the market; stick to it; and become the best at it.

    Pros

Great technology. Good sales team communications. Flexible work hours. No death by excessive meetings. Great internal documentation and a very partner friendly organization.

    Cons

Very slow to innovate and come out with new software and update current software. Communications between some departments needs a lot of work. A lot of sales challenges due to a not to distant negative history.

    Advice to Management

Become an innovator again. Look 5-10 years out. Embrace subscription based pricing. Don't just enable cloud for DR and data migration offer it.

I worked at FalconStor (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Nice colleagues, very decent salary, good products.

    Cons

-Recently continually declining headcount (sales, pre-sales, etc...) and that is making it almost impossible for the company to 'survive' I believe.
    -Management.

    Advice to Management

How can you sell and grow business if you don't have (local) sales and pre-sales people anymore? Just wondering...
