    Pros

None this company is on the verge of collapse

    Cons

Company has no Direction.... CEO turning company into a private Company from being public and the stock is worthless Solution VTL CDP dont work and are out dated, not keeping up with the competition. Dont expect them to be around for to long.

    I worked at FalconStor full-time

    Pros

Exposure to a lot of technology, ability to learn the ins and outs of storage industry.

    Cons

Upper management lacks directions, compensation is unfair, a job well done is never acknowledged, project specs & requirements always change on the fly.

    I worked at FalconStor full-time

    Pros

Great visionary roots. Good benefits. Opportunity is available, but you have to go get it - everyone is too busy to help you be successful.

    Cons

Too much baggage to attract the management talent necessary for it to run well.

    Advice to Management

Find a way to leverage patent portfolio. As always, become and stay relevant by finding a niche in the market; stick to it; and become the best at it.

I have been working at FalconStor

    Pros

Great technology. Good sales team communications. Flexible work hours. No death by excessive meetings. Great internal documentation and a very partner friendly organization.

    Cons

Very slow to innovate and come out with new software and update current software. Communications between some departments needs a lot of work. A lot of sales challenges due to a not to distant negative history.

    Advice to Management

Become an innovator again. Look 5-10 years out. Embrace subscription based pricing. Don't just enable cloud for DR and data migration offer it.

I worked at FalconStor full-time for less than a year

    Pros

-No experience required - Good place to learn basics of backup technologies - good for short term -Good for interning

    Cons

-No future prospects unless you are managerial or higher position -The technologies used are not used widely so if you have 10 years experience you might have to start from beginning while switching the companies -The senior employees treat newcomers very unprofessionally and make team environment very uncomfortable -Very unstable management, Managers have no control over the team members.... -Join if you are bored of being unemployed

I have been working at FalconStor full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

People are very dedicated and hard workers.

    Cons

Leadership is floundering. The technology is cool but the competition has caught up or surpassed FALC over the past couple years while their leadership has been floundering. FALC solutions integrate with a lot of different hardware and software technologies and they have little to no access to these technologies to test their solutions. Unix is a major lacking platform.

    Advice to Management

Find a buyer who can make good use of FALC technologies before you run the company into the ground.

I have been working at FalconStor full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

You can excel in a position if you are allowed the chance. Management has been changing, so there are new opportunities.

    Cons

There are a lot of politics for such a small company. Titles are given out as rewards instead of financial. The company doesn't promote a healthy work/life balance. Salaries are lower than other places and no bonus plan.

    Advice to Management

Some want change, but not everyone and a few bad eggs can spoil the bunch.

I worked at FalconStor full-time for less than a year

    Pros

You get a learn new technologies, hardware and software.

    Cons

    1. you will find that majority of the people do not want to share what they know. If you ask them a question, they will tell you to read the CDP/NSS admin guide. The CDP/NSS guide book has no detailed information on troubleshooting. 2. You are thrown into the fire without any formal training. You can take online training with no interaction from your manager or colleagues. 3. Most managers have to... management experience on how to talk to employees and treat them like crap. 4. There is no raises or praise for your work. 5. You are told to come to your manager if you have questions, when you do he tells you to talk to your co-workers who tell you to read the guide, which is poorly written. 6. You are left to figure things out on your own. 7. There is no career path, I knew ppl that were there for 6-7 years doing the exact same job and for some of them this was/is their 1st job.

    Advice to Management

    1. Make the direct managers take management training. 2. Setup REAL training for new employees so they understand the software which they will be supporting. 3. Acknowledge work that is done well.
