    Micromanaged everyday

    Pros

It feels good to help those in need

    Cons

To may to list, but I will try. You are over worked, case loads are way to high, you are monitored every moment of the day and are attached to a recorded ACD phone system, there is very high staff turnover resulting in coverage of multiple panels, along with your own and all the phone calls that come into the system. Disorganization with multiple priorities at one time which completely contradicts the point of a “priority”. Very low moral within staff and upper management takes no ownership of the current state of the organization. It’s a very draining place to work.

    Very poor leadership & HR

Apr 6, 2021 - Not Available in Worcester, MA

    Pros

    Many people honestly do care.

    Cons

Management is very dishonest, inflexible, discriminatory, in violation of laws and company policies without repercussions. HR is powerless to do anything or actively works against you. Employees are over-worked and underpaid, managers can't or don't support their employees, upper management claims there's nothing they can do. People get frustrated and leave or just stop caring.

    Needs a lot of improvement.

    Pros

Working with some truly great people who care about improving population health. Fallon does a lot to give back to the community. Good benefits package.

    Cons

Opposite of innovative - too many archaic systems, implementing change takes forever, and when it is done, it is done poorly. Too much bureaucratic nonsense slows everything down. Upper management is very disconnected from the lowly employees. Does not appear that they take employees interests or input seriously. Just be grateful you have a job seems to be the motto. Micromanagement is rampant. Company communication needs improvement. Everyone is bombarded with email. HR department is inconsistent and not supportive. Nothing you tell them is confidential and they have lost the trust of the employees. IT department lacking in updated systems/equipment which decreases employee effectiveness. Hard to do your job when your ancient laptop won't turn on. NOT family friendly. Definitely have seen that working mom discrimination is alive and well here. If you have kids, you better hope they never get sick.

Real review & how to spot the fakes

May 12, 2016 - Former Project Manager in Worcester, MA

    Pros

There is no good reason to work at Fallon. Read the reviews that talk about the actual worker, and then try to guess who writes that ' health care reform' and risk management are to blame, the same factors other successful health companies seem to handle so much better.

    Cons

    Poor middle and upper management

    And the backslide continues

    Pros

Free parking. Earned Time instead of sick and vacation time. The Cafe in the building is convenient.

    Cons

The turn over is atrocious. Morale is low. There's a lack of schedule flexibility. Expectations are unrealistic or vague. Input into the process is virtually non-existent. Everything is done because it's the way we've done things. The leadership is immature. Scapegoating is rampant. Communication is terrible, policies are vague and not followed, we hear different things from different managers/upper management. There was an engagement survey and it was TERRIBLE, but instead of making meaningful changes, they put up a kudos board.

The Team. The team. Coworkers have an education. The team. The commute. The team. Making the best of the crap they throw at you as a team.

    Cons

Unprofessional, total chaos, zero support,Upper Management has no clue what they are doing. No-one in upper management knows the regulations of CMS. Things change daily...no make that hourly. You are made to feel like you are a failure because upper managementmanagent does not know how to run the SCO program. Nightmare!

    IT at FCHP

Apr 4, 2013 - Anonymous Employee in Worcester, MA

    Business Outlook

    Pros

The company is a small non-profit, and many of the people in real working jobs care about the well-being of the customers.

    Cons

It would seem that upper management has increasingly less concern for their workers, and distance themselves more and more from the actual input and concerns of those with technical expertise.
