    Pros

People. store teams are hard working, fast pace

    Cons

Benefits, poor quality of life, expect team to do more than there is budget or time.

    Advice to Management

Don't treat everyone like they are incompetent, Dollar Tree continues to make changes (not for the good) with benefits, bonus, vacation policies which has impacted morale

I worked at Family Dollar Stores full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay was good if you stopped at your 52 hours.

    Cons

working alone 6 hours a day, expected to do everything yourself, too much workload dumped on you and no payroll to get it done. micromanaged. In the end, they will release you no matter how well of a job you did if employees dont like you and go to HR and complain about you.

    Advice to Management

They know already. They are like robots. Go to training, told what to say, bring it back and say it, even if it makes no sense. or doesnt fit the situation. Have had upper management walk out on me for trying to discuss issues with him/her. Have been told make it work. Have been told a good SM could do it.... etc Quit dumping your job on your SM's. They have enough to do without doing your job too.

    Pros

Job comfort means job security, and that can lead to less anxiety. Without the constant worry and stress of losing your job or trying to over-perform to keep your job, you live and work your day-to-day with relative ease. You can voice your opinion without fear of repercussions. You can put away for your retirement or send Jane to private school. In an era when a good many people are unemployed, any sense of job comfort can instill a deep sense of gratitude, fortune and luck.

    Cons

If you’ve ever experienced job comfort, you know it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. The possibilities often remain just that, and instead of feeling calm and motivated on the side, you end up feeling dejected, useless and scrolling through the Internet all day. If you’re feeling depressed from constant Facebook comparisons, you may be on the wrong side of job comfort.

    Advice to Management

    Great Management
