I love sports, so it was a fun environment to interact with employees and customers about sports. Made the days go by faster than they should've been.

    Cons

    Pros

Discount on apparel Maybe one Jazz game a year, if you’re lucky.

    Cons

Where to start. Nepotism was rampant, which led to poor management in every single department at the corporate office. The environment was incredibly sexist/misogynistic, and felt more like going to work at a Mormon frat house. There was more time spent goofing off or in completely pointless (often unrelated to work at all!) meetings, so EVERY department would fall behind on their goals or deadlines. Every department head was better at scapegoating a problem instead of actually trying to correct it. This led to each department becoming more and more hostile with the others. The hours for the ecom team were insane - I was a salaried employee that often worked well over 60 hours per week - the balance was totally inadequate. Also, management knew little about the systems they were trying to implement - it was completely upside down. It was also hell having to negotiate compensation or hold management accountable to their promises of raises or bonuses. The entire ecom team ended up quitting - two different teams on two different occasions - that kind of turn over says it all. It was chaotic, but there were some fun times.

    Pros

Working at hte corp office I get to see all the planning for the stores and help bring that to fruition. It has been a great experience and opportunity. I am happy to be an employee of Fanzz and see the future plans for the LHM group of companies. The people are very nice and friendly.

    Cons

Some store employees are just there for the pay check. When they have issues it can be challenging because they dont know how to explain it or they dont pay attention to get things resolved quickly. A good portion of the managers have no clue what they are doing and dont take security seriously which is a horrible practice.

Started Great, But was Told I was Just a Job

    Pros

Really fun atmosphere, fast paced and nice offices wat the corporate office. Some amazing people to work with. For the first two years I was there, it was amazing, full of growth opportunities from within and, if you worked hard, it was noticed.

    Cons

The higher ups can be really condescending to you if you bring up issues or things that disrupt their viewpoint. Some people are also really vindictive if you speak up about team issues you've noticed. There's a gossip/blame game culture, so every day I had to put out non-existent fires before I could actually do my job. Eventually, as a result of these kinds of issues, my team was told we were only paid to do a job and not to bother others with our ideas or problems. Needless to say, we all quit in the following weeks. Nothing is more demotivating than being told you don't matter and are highly replaceable.

    Inconsistent Store Management

Apr 11, 2016 - Sales Associate in Saint Joseph, MO

    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Flexible scheduling, spoke with customers about sporting teams, good training, ability to perform different jobs, encouragement to earn a $40 average sale and 2.0 items per transactions

    Cons

Management was inconsistent, you got an outstanding manager to an employee who steals to a manager who talks about how he has slept with over 100 different women. Due to them offering commision, other employees would steal sales that were yours with no way to reverse this or split the sale if more than one associate helped with the transaction. Asking customers to sign up for club cards were difficult as they cost $5 and offered few benefits. Asking for email addresses also was a pain if a customer had multiple transactions or had been in the store before.

    Pros

    - Management is great. They value the opinions of others. - The company has a good vision for the future - Fun sports environment to work in - Coworkers are all good people and fun to work with - Hard/Quality work is recognized - Work/life balance - Being a part of the LHM family gives you some excellent benefits and access at the various companies that they own

    Cons

    - Communication isn't quite where it needs to be. It's getting there, but still some work to do.

    Pros

40% discount. Get to talk sports. Friendly environment.

    Cons

Lack of hours given out, thus limits the employee presence in the stores. Corporate treats some stores alot different than other stores, basically playing favorite. Care more about numbers than actual sales. Never any praise for accomplishments, but always criticism for the smallest of things. Makes it very discouraging and stressful to work there if you actually care about your job, and not looking at it as just a job. Pay, dont get me started on the pay....ITS HORRIBLE!!
