Mar 16, 2015 - Staff Accountant in Lagrange, INRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Often looking for opportunities to promote from within. Healthy bonus at the end of the year. No sick days or vacation days. It is all PTO time which is based mostly on position rather than tenure. As a staff accountant I get 4 weeks of PTO.
Cons
Being a smaller bank, some of the benefits do not match up to what a larger company can offer.

Pros
Farmers State Bank offered a good work life balance, which is something many companies lack these days.
Cons
Farmers State Bank offered little to no training to incoming employees, thus employees must learn while doing and assisting customers. This creates a high stress situation for both the employee and potentially a poor customer service experience for the customer.

Have to work several Saturdays a month. Do get federal holidays off, however.
