    Pros

I don't think many of the responses on here understand the Fastenal 401k. First, they match dollar for dollar on the first $2500 you put in. Second, depending on profitability of they company you can get up to $2500 more if you put $5000 in. I've seen about 80 cents on the dollar some years. It's handled through Merrill Lynch with a variety of mutual funds as well as Fastenal stock.

    Cons

No cons on the 401k benefits.

I have been working at Fastenal part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Provides the best customer service. Also gives the employees plenty of room to learn and grow in the company regardless of situations.

    Cons

Since it's near a school the turn around rate, in some cases, are high. The choice of communication is poor.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to what your employees say. They are the ones who deal with most of the management decisions.
