Thanks for the encouragement, we're glad the monthly Managers Meeting is helpful. That meeting is a longstanding tradition and something that we feel is important to continue as the company grows.

I have been working at Fay Servicing full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

We are allowed to be independent employees and not micro-managed. It is a Team-oriented company, the culture is coming along. It has the capability of being a great company. I was inspired by Ed Fay’s vision of the company when I started but over the years this vision has been lost. In their defense the training program has started to develop positively as they stated it would.

    Cons

There are more than I can name and it took a really long time to write this review due to my respect for the company but!!! Pay - We have went through 3 compensation changes since I started which continuously decreases the ability for AM’s to maximize their potential. It was verbally expressed their would never be a limit on compensation but over the years it has been adjusted to limit the annual salary opposed...

    Advice to Management

Consider the lives of an Account Manager by considering the effects of your decisions. The pay is not competitive with the market and has an even higher disadvantage when faced with unforeseen pay schedule changes and constant compensation adjustments to decrease the annual salary. I’m sure there will be the perfect rebuttal to follow my concerns, but these are whole heartedly legitimate company issues that requires...

I worked at Fay Servicing full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Free gym membership, close to public transportation (HQ), end of the month lunch, great holiday parties.

    Cons

I enjoyed working with my team members, but I'm sure the culture has changed due to the absorption of a smaller office. If the work life balance was greatly improved, I'd would reapply as it's not a terrible company as a whole. By definition, they are no longer a startup but they continue to operates like one. Also, the nepolism and favoritism was getting out of hand.

    Advice to Management

Hire and train your AVP and VPs based on their of emotional intelligence, it's what effects your turn over, your client engagement, & productivity. Think Jack Ma rather than Jack Welsh. Improve your work life balance because there's no concrete data that supports working past 7 PM vastly improves your customer payment trends. Implement and invest in current technology. Lastly, start staffing your workforce internally...

I have been working at Fay Servicing full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good entry level experience Pay can be good, it depends

    Cons

Management loves to say they want to hear your concerns when there is a big meeting but if you express anything at all they are condescending, don't consider what your saying, and suggest you deal with it the way it is or you can leave. Then employees give up and just stay quiet Other departments change the way they operate extremely often and don't tell anyone and there is constant confusion It definitely shows...

This person needs to re-read the news on Fay and the CFPB. No fines, penalties or monitoring imposed. Account Managers can average a very generous annual compensation and the benefits continue to grow each year. This does not seem like a current employee but one who may have been ...

I worked at Fay Servicing full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Friendly coworkers, awesome holiday party, small holiday bonus, good location for office. Company is small but growing fast. Lots of room for growth and promotion.

    Cons

Horrific smell in current building that comes and goes. No one can find the source. They are supposed to move to a different building which will stop it, but currently impossible to work while the smell is there. Coworkers immature, constant blatent sexual references while working. The base pay is very low, pay structure is incentive based but actual monthly payout seems less than promised.

    Advice to Management

Follow through on your policies for Sexual Harassment. Pay a better wage to get better talent for your managers. Increase the base pay for your Account Managers. Too much variance in monthly pay.

    Pros

Potential to make good money, they are growing rapidly, opportunities to make management is good.

    Cons

Their computer systems need help. There is too much to learn and little time to learn it. They promote a "sales" environment but it looks more like a collection job and you are constantly monitored for mistakes and your pay is docked for them.

    Advice to Management

Need managers with real management skills, not people with the best collection or operational skills.
