I have been working at Fay Servicing full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Fay Servicing is extremely "team oriented" and the CEO, Ed Fay, treats his employees like family. There are tons of perks and privileges and senior management is extremely approachable and logical. This is shown in the quarterly company meetings where Ed addresses his "team" Wolf-of-Wall-Street style! Benefits include free gym membership, monthly lunches and cool team events. My first week correlated with 10+Billion celebration...

    Cons

The company is growing so there are a lot of phone meetings in lieu of in-person meetings (location issues). I prefer in person contact but that is hard to solve. Although equal in theory, Texas seems to be favored over the Chicago location (at least this year).

    Advice to Management

Management style and demeanor is fantastic. Staff is friendly and positive. Would like to see more mentorship opportunities and more "pathways" to success.

    Pros

Free gym membership, close to public transportation (HQ), end of the month lunch, great holiday parties.

    Cons

I enjoyed working with my team members, but I'm sure the culture has changed due to the absorption of a smaller office. If the work life balance was greatly improved, I'd would reapply as it's not a terrible company as a whole. By definition, they are no longer a startup but they continue to operates like one. Also, the nepolism and favoritism was getting out of hand.

    Advice to Management

Hire and train your AVP and VPs based on their of emotional intelligence, it's what effects your turn over, your client engagement, & productivity. Think Jack Ma rather than Jack Welsh. Improve your work life balance because there's no concrete data that supports working past 7 PM vastly improves your customer payment trends. Implement and invest in current technology. Lastly, start staffing your workforce internally...

    I worked at Fay Servicing

    Pros

You get lunch once a month. And after 3 months you get a gym membership

    Cons

The company doesn't have any vision, don't be a loan officer here. 2 different bosses in 3 months

    Advice to Management

Stick to servicing, either spend the money and invest in originations or don't do it. You are wasting the little money given to the department. Loan originations is something you have to be all in on not dabbling with

    Advice to Management

My experience working at Fay Servicing was not what I expected, there was no training, lack of guidance, and management was never available. Doesn’t matter what your experience and/or knowledge you had in the past, it would be disregarded at this company. I am dumb founded with management whom been in the industry...

I worked at Fay Servicing full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Discounted gym membership and a pop machine. nothing else. i'm only writing these extra words because glassdoor requires 20 words.

    Cons

Everything, and yes as an Account Manager you DO have to push a button to go to the bathroom... to eat... to get up to go to the printer...to get a drink of water... hmmm almost sounds like prison, oh wait it pretty much is. If you go under your "queue" time which by the way is very easy to do if you need to go to the bathroom or something, etc, it will result in money being docked from your pay (up to $700 every month)......

    Advice to Management

Stop with the HR bs responses.. Looks like Fay has gotten smarter and started hiring PR people to "attempt" to do damage control on honest, truthful reviews of the company. Any smart, intelligent person will see through...Also, notice how they respond by not addressing the majority of the issues... lol

I have been working at Fay Servicing full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Free coffee, gym membership, great people with good personalities (mainly the people lower in the company). Overall not too many pros.

    Cons

I work in an "entry level position" for a minimal wage. They say it's an entry level position but we have been told that if we mess up our work we could potentially put the company out of business. Doesn't add up that someone making minimal money should be in charge of something so important. The stress is absolutely unreal, all upper management wants is more more more without giving raises or even knowing how to do...

    I worked at Fay Servicing

    Pros

Great culture and people, free gym membership/or subsidized, free end of the month lunches, goos management, some room for growth

    Cons

obvious favoritism and empty promises. low pay in many departments. pay should be increasing as the company grows.

    Advice to Management

focus more on the larger picture rather than the tiny details. Someone being late or missing a day over their PTO range is a way lesser issue than someone losing the potential to grow due to lack of direct management and not being recognized because of favored individuals. Employees will work their hardest if they are given their incentives they are told and be treated fairly-which this company needs to work on.
