I have been working at FedEx Office part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Tuition Reimbursement after 3 months, healthcare benefits ( 1 year for part-time), above flexible scheduing

    Cons

Forced to pick up extra hours at other FedEx Retail Stores, understaffed, and deceitful management

    Advice to Management

Stop having your district managers become best friends with other high-performing tier 1- tier 3 stores. It makes reporting abusive behavior harder for employees like myself

I worked at FedEx Office full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay was good for retail. Coworkers were cool.

    Cons

No training. You are expected to learn by osmosis and if you don't pick it up you will be yelled at. No lunches some days as your center will not be staffed properly. Left on your own to both ship and print. It's dangerous to leave you alone at night in centers but expect it to happen.

    Advice to Management

    Train. Staff.

    Pros

Making customer's smile is the best part

    Cons

A complete lack of management from the center standpoint on up. If you want to be a number, managed by numbers this is for you.

    Advice to Management

We're the professionals, we've been chasing our tails for 10 years since FedEx bought us. I had high hopes for this relationship but it seems that we are just the latest purchase and another way to broaden the portfolio. The problem is no one is manning the helm. We seem to have a problem with ADD and no long term focus.

I worked at FedEx Office full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Centrally Located in Plano, near Legacy Shops. Brand new HQ building. Benefits are good but getting expensive while coverage decreases.

    Cons

Employees are taken advantage of and voluntold to do extra work, with no recognition, no extra pay, or promotion. Very poor management. Management is a revolving door, with your average manager lasting under 2 years before they realize they are in a dead end and move outside the company. They absolutely do not promote from within so in terms of carerr path, do not expect one at this company.

    Advice to Management

Upper management needs to replace middle management with younger, more innovative minds. Hire managers that actually care about their employees and not their own selfish needs.
