I have been working at FedEx Office full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good Benefits (had to have at least 5 words and that's the only thing that was good)

    Cons

Horrible Hours, not flexible with schedule, extremely hard to move up in position if you are not it the right click, horrible pay, ignore sexual harassment incidents and do nothing when trying to file a complaint about it. HR talks about others behind their back and tells personal things about them. Fires people because of something others did. The work/life balance is horrible, you are not allowed to have a life outside FedEx Office.

    Advice to Management

hire better district managers, they tend to not care about employees at the center level and only care about numbers.

    Cons

Racist company backed by other racist higher ups. They are lazy and stick together like flies to poop. You take on so many jobs and orders than you can handle. They never offer help, You are basically own your own!

I have been working at FedEx Office full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Everyday is challenging. Nothing is the same...

    Cons

They say they are a people first company. They just force people to change stores.
No warning. One day you are working at one location the next you are accrost town with a bran new team. You would think a company would as you if you wished to change locations. When it is first brought up its all about how great of an idea it is to uproot people and disrupt their lives for the good of the company!
A great place to work has not been my experience. Ask for what you think you are worth before you are hired. Raises given don't keep up with inflation. Little mistakes are very serious. Some mistakes by the delivery companies are taken out on the Office employees. Too much to learn for the average job. I can keep going but I think you get the flavor of this review.

    Advice to Management

Do the best you can. The company as a whole doesn't seem to care about helping their employees keep a work life balance.

I have been working at FedEx Office full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Job and customers are wonderful. Are exposed to every kind of personality and culture in Minneapolis. Problem solving at it's best and most personal.

    The team is family.

    Cons

Terrible pay - unlivable, unbelievable, shameful. Forces employees to participate in meaningless and time consuming activities while 'wearing too many hats". Customers regularly comment on how horribly employees are treated. The company doesn't care - everyone not in management is expendable.

    Advice to Management

Employee appreciation begins with a livable wage. If someone cannot afford to pay rent, buy clothes or nutritious food there is no feeling of appreciation. At that point PAY is the appreciation. Correct the level of pay to reflect what others are paying in the industry and you'll stop losing the experience you try so hard to cultivate and that's needed in this field.

I have been working at FedEx Office full-time

    Pros

Shipping discounts and very few hard working co-workers

    Cons

No opportunity for advancement, center managers don't care about the customers or employees and are never available (because they leave early, they never work a full shift) except for when there's an opportunity to gain positive recognition for themselves. Hard workers work harder because they need to pick up after the lazy ones, and the lazy workers get by on the same pay.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to help on developing others so they can advance with this company. They need to put there needs to the side and stop abusing there postion to do whatever they like.
