I worked at FedEx Office full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great company and people. Although a large company, you never really felt that and everyone seemed to really want to do well with their tasks

    Cons

Sometimes mid-management was in place just because of tenure. Often times, their information was limited to what FedEx Office does without enough exposure to other companies or competitors abilities.

    Advice to Management

Bring in some fresh people that have more industry specific knowledge instead of relying on internal employees that have been there for a long time.

I have been working at FedEx Office full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Medium work load, fun, people person job. Good for college students, tech savvy folks, or people who love customer service. Always pays more than minimum wage.

    Cons

Stressful. Its customer service. Customers can be very irate on a regular basis. Not for people who don't like talking to others. Pay does Not scale well with job duties. Benefits get worse every year.

    Advice to Management

Pay your people according to the clientele. High stress jobs deserve better benefits and pay.

I have been working at FedEx Office full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It has great benefits and a lot of support from surrounding stores. It isn't a competition among stores to make the most money it is about working together to do what's best for the customer and for the company

    Cons

Some days are very busy and can get stressful, it's tough sometimes because not everyone is cut out to work this job and stress gets to a lot of people, but in the end it all usually works out!

    Advice to Management

Make training materials a little easier to go through. The system is old and needs to be updated to make it easier on employees and better for customers!

I worked at FedEx Office full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    - benefits
    - training now online not as good as going to class when they were kinkos.
    - work schedule (they try to work with you).
    - upward mobility (Do it!)
    - Staff (When you actually have people who are hard working and willing to work with you plus there is a network of locations across the United States you can call upon to assist you in getting a project completed!)

    Cons

    - Sadly lazy Co Workers.
    - Shady managers
    - Always something changing weekly sometimes every few days with shipping.

Realize as you move up you have a target on you're back!

    Advice to Management

Stop being clickish, arrogant and mentor the hard working/bright people! you would not be where you're at if not for them. Motivate those people consistently so they can get a sense of what they can accomplish.
