    I worked at FedEx part-time

    Pros

For not having any certifications, background, major degrees, or specialties. They'll desperately take anyone willing to work graveyard shifts and may be daytime shifts for better than min wage.

    Cons

The shifts times are very poor and can fluctuate. Fulltime is not really an option so making a living off of this is impossible. It is a decent supplemental position with high turn over.

    Advice to Management

Be accommodating to your employees, many of them have no reason to stick around.

    Pros

Large organization that is recognized globally. A great place to start your career and build on for your next step with a different company.

    Cons

Heavy work load and very limited Work life balance. Weekends and nights are spent entertaining customers. Lots of solitude as you primarily work out of you car, limited co-worker engagement. Poor support levels, job position is loosely defined as responsibility levels cover so many areas. Position activity levels and expectations are micromanaged and management expectation levels are consistently unattainable Lastly, all systems are not intuitive and out dated. Thus decreasing Work life balance and morale.

    Advice to Management

To stay relevant with the market places try reinventing the position as most organizations are moving to a market/team approach versus a one stop shop approach (not realistic with your current position model) Move annual surveys to quarterly, hold frontline management accountable and increase movement (positive or negative) here.
