    Pros

Weekly pay, location, and benifits. They have a lot of career opportunities because they fire people due to a ridiculous point system. So, I'm not sure if that's a pro or con.

    Cons

Filthy, dangerous conditions, VERY low pay, lazy workers, horrible management, 5 minute breaks, favoritism, they don't value their employees... I could go on and on.

    Advice to Management

You don't value anyone, yet you're very successful... and that's cool, but don't have expectations that everything should run how you intend to run it. Oh, and maybe the "Manager" shouldn't express that their workers could do better elsewhere... even though it's true.

    Pros

A lot of opportunity for growth
The industry began to consolidate very recently, so there is a lot of project opportunities on the marketting side
No "always connected" culture. When you leave, you leave.
Those above you will actually listen and consider your project proposals

    Cons

Health insurance leaves much to be desired.
Sitcom jabs at corporate workplaces now hits too close to home.
Cubicle life, unless you're in upper management, IT or Digital Media.

    Advice to Management

Look into better and more diverse health care options. As a young person, I can get much better ($150 vs. $1400 deductable), cheaper ($200 vs. $300) insurance from the marketplace than what the company offers.

    I worked at Federal-Mogul full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Competitive pay and good location

    Cons

There is nothing good about this company. Absolute bottom of the barrel. Consider this company only if you have no other option

    Advice to Management

Man, How can you turn this company around? Getting rid of the German guy in the south field office would be a good start...

    I worked at Federal-Mogul part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great group of people to work with a family environment. Everyone had one goal which was to get whatever task that was at hand done.

    Cons

The only con was basically that it was a packaging warehouse which was extremely hot during the summer and had elderly and female employees that need a better working environment in order to be more productive.

    Pros

It is a pretty consistent job, for what we are doing. It can be busy but some of the staff will help you out when needed.

    Cons

Benefits are not good, it is hard to move up if you wanted to do that.

    Advice to Management

Better benefits would be good, and like everywhere else more money is always a plus.

I have been working at Federal-Mogul part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Federal Mogul has a great work environment and variety of projects. In my experience, I was given the freedom to manage my own projects (with exception to priorities). Federal Mogul also has fantastic managers who are easy to approach and willing to teach.

    Cons

In the research and development field, there is a lot of stress imposed on employees to meet deadlines, keep promises to customers, and achieve projected product performances. Occasionally, there is conflict between groups.

    Advice to Management

Managers should be approachable and willing to teach. Managers should challenge employees but expect results within a reasonable time span. Pay attention to time management and amount of work per employee. Managers should enforce a respectful workplace with minimal conflict between employees and groups.

I have been working at Federal-Mogul full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

+Pay is decent for the zipcode.
    +Employees are friendly and helpful.

    Cons

+The company can force you to switch to another shift with virtually zero-notice. Basically the company doesn't care about the live's of individual employees, you are powerless in the matter to fight it. Be prepared to restructure your lifestyle to accommodate the company. Not the best best place to work if you have children.

+No watercoolers on the plant floor. Some area of the plant have barely any fans.

+Terrible air quality. If I apply a fresh coat of white paint to the wall, the wall will begin turning yellow within a week.

+No shift pay differential. The only factory job within the city that doesn't treat their employees with more pay if they work nights and weekends.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with respect and not like cattle and maybe they will stay.

I have been working at Federal-Mogul full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Has decent pay for the area. Ok health insurance and 401k. It's a paycheck that pays the bills. Set work hours.

    Cons

Your treated like a number and not a human. Advancement is next to impossible. Communication is almost nonexistent. Air quality is poor. No incentives.

    Advice to Management

Take time to get to know your employees and treat them like they mean something. Keep in mind that they are making your paycheck as well as their own.
