I worked at Fedex Express full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

FedEx provides an excellent opportunity for their employees to progress from staff to professional to managerial positions. In general, it is a people company with strong leadership and clear line of communication. If you are looking for a company with progressive responsibility, this is it. There is work autonomy and employees are recognized for performance. Management takes annual employee survey feedback seriously. You grow with the Company. Very high job satisfaction.

    Cons

The medical and dental benefits are below market. With keen competition in the market and high capital investment needed, the profit margin is not high. Annual pay increase is at market at best.

    Advice to Management

Drive cost down, understand customers' needs and be bold to implement changes.

I have been working at Fedex Express full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Pay and benefits are decent but competitors definitely pay better. Full time employees get a pention if they retire from Fedex.

    Cons

There's no work life balance. Despite what they say they are not a people first company. A word of advice, take good care of the uniform you get when you start. Chances are it'll be over a few years before you get more than the 2 shirts and 2 pants. Almost forgot the mandatory 1 hour unpaid break if you go one minute over 8 hours.

    Advice to Management

Stop being biased in promoting, stop making stupid rules that make the job much harder and don't improve customer service, stop forcing employees to be on the clock unpaid.
