I have been working at Fellers full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Work from home office. Cell phone, laptop, printer, some office supplies, sales collateral provided. Great job for a motivated self starter. Paid 1 week training course. Job offers flexibility to do your job without a manager looking over your shoulder.

    Cons

Not a job for just anyone, must be motivated daily. Bonus compensation plan is difficult to understand. Ongoing training is non existent, you receive one week of training then you're on your own to figure things out. Support comes from Regional manager available only by phone for the most part.

    Advice to Management

Offer ongoing training programs to retain and keep employees interested and motivated. Bonus structure could use some minor updates.

I worked at Fellers full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Ability to work independently is a plus.

    Cons

Lack of leadership from upper management. Basically you are on your own.

    Advice to Management

For whatever reason, I don't believe upper management is as invested in the company as it once was. No wonder Fellers has closed 6 locations over the past year.

I worked at Fellers full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Insurance is good Hr employees are very helpful

    Cons

The company will not let you communicate with customer service your salary is basically all you will ever be able to make the bonus program is essentially impossible to achieve one must grow at an adverage of 10 percent over last 12 months to qualify even at that it only about 300 to 500 but Being as that the company is almost flat for last two years what is the chance of ever achieving that type of growth in addition they do not allow you to visit with high percentage of your accounts see you only get credit for your top 100 and over half of them I could not go see they were to far away as in greater than 90 miles that is your limit .From what I can tell virtually no one likes being there in addition when you are in sales EVERY DAY you are judged by that day sales we are not order takers who go into BS and do an inventory is many areas of the country relationships and service is how one grows Bs hard to establish that over a phone

    Advice to Management

Sell the company or just eliminate reps in keep the profits for yourself

I worked at Fellers full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

None..... stay clear.... move on!!!!!! I should have listened to my gut with all the red flags during The hiring period!

    Cons

It’s all run out mid west.... very poor management that lies all the time. Say their going to hire you, ask for u to quit ur other job without much notice, cause they need u right alway.... but after u do all that thinking ur getting the job.... they come back and tell u their going hire u though a temp agency first..... and then let u go after only 2 weeks of employment..... don’t give you month to learn the job..... and while there little to no training!

    I worked at Fellers full-time

    Pros

Reasonable base salary, medical insurance and initial training

    Cons

Long work work hours, zero flexibility to price match product on the spot without proof of purchase.

    Advice to Management

More autonomy for Outside Sales Managers and review way commissions are calculated to include 100% of the territory's customer base and not fraction of them.

I worked at Fellers full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Easy job for a sales representative.

    Cons

They don't pay you for your sales and they do not allow you to travel. It is expected for you to do most of your sales by phone but most of the customers want to see you in person. Fellers is cheap and do not represent themselves well in the market place as a good employer.

I have been working at Fellers full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Fun products to sell. Working from home is great. Not too much unnecessary reporting. Basically if you do your job and put in a bit of effort and are good with people/customers, you will do great with Fellers. Management will promote from within as new opportunities present themselves if you so desire.

    Cons

What Salesperson doesn't want to make more money?
